great for young kids but varied enough to keep everyone entertained for days. multi entry passes are great especially if staying nearby. shows are fun for all ages; very high quality aquariums and animal exhibits; opportunities to feed animals and learn; also amusement park type rides for all ages and big play area for younger kids.

We just weren't too impressed with it for the price we paid to get in. We did enjoy the Shamu show and seeing the animals though. Rides were ok.

i was super excited for seaworld but was disappointed, first of all it is away from the city and public transport so driving is the most conveinient way to get there, until they sting you $14 to park! we bought a joint ticket for universal studios in LA too, was $125. the orca show was good, sealion show, definate highlight (biff is very entertaining!) dolphin show was dated and disappointing. i will definately be sticking to whale watching in the wild from now on!

After spending 2 days at the Disneyland theme parks, we made the trip to San Diego to go to Sea World. We had not been in years, and were looking forward to seeing all the changes we had heard about. We arrived to a $14.00 a day parking lot that was nothing like the Disneyland parking lots, except for the same price. Disneyland has people showing you where to go, and then puts you on a tram to get you to the gate. Not Sea World. Absolute chaos in parking, and then you walk pretty far before you arrive. Some people were wandering around, not even sure where the entrance was. After paying almost the same price as Disneyland to enter, we walked into the overcrowded park only to find booths selling everything, and no really clear signage on where to go. We saw a few shows, which we top notch, but essentially the same shows they have had for over 40 years, just in bigger newer tanks. The park used to be very committed to education and a lot of hands on experiences, now it seem to be a little more focused on agenda pushing, selling trinkets and becoming another park with rides.
I do need to say though, Sea World does have some of the best aquariums and exhibits.
I most likely will not ever go back, as I don't think it was a value for my money.
I think if I were in my teens, or twenties, and my parents were paying for everything, it would be a fun place!
