Allow a few days for the wonders of Balboa Park--Museum of Natural History, sculpture garden, Minghei Museum, organ pavilion--we barely scratched the surface. Balboa Park has something for everyone!!

We didn't have time to visit any of the museums, but I have heard they are nice. We walked around the park, listened to the amazing outdoor organ concert, and visited the Japanese friendship garden. We sat in the shade for an hour while my children enjoyed watching the fish in the Koi pond. If you like Japanese gardens, this one is beautiful. I definitely wish there were more Japanese maples, as they are my favorite, but still very enjoyable and worth the cost of admission.

Beautiful park with a lot to see and do. The place needs more restaurants though. Wait times were over an hour at the 2 restaurants in the park.

A large area with a lot to do, but it was difficult to find out what to do, where to go and how much it cost. I think a better visitors center would be ideal. A lovely park to go and just relax though.

The architecture is stunning. Only had time to visit part of park went to NAT museum, Botanical Building, Timken Art Museum. The day flashes by for sure. If you are into museums would have to take more than one day for sure.
