this hotel is great. well kept 1920s hotel that feels like a movie set. very clean nice new rooms. covered garage for my bike and a hose and rags to clean it .wow! everyone was really helpful. Jennifer at check in was amazing. she upgraded my room to a suite and even called to see if I liked the room. would tell anyone to stay here. great price also.

Room Tip: suite with balconey is pretty cool

Toward the northern extreme of Hwy 7 in Arkansas sits Harrison, AR. In it is a hotel built ambitiously grandly in 1929. After several reincarnations and a recent remodel, it is again a hotel, and they have done an excellent job. The reopened restaurant still needs work, but the hotel and its staff do a very good job at a very reasonable price.

We thought the hotel was charming. Old but renovated the rooms are very small but not an issue with us. very comfortable and intimate. Hotel is near the 'square' so convenient for a nice walk. We could have stayed on the highways with the usual suspects but we dared to be different and we are glad we did. Harrison is pretty and near relatives so we will stay again. Restaurant staff was friendly and breakfast was very good but dinner was only ok. Also, issues with the A/C so I can't go five stars.

Apparently built in 1929, and restored for use today. Inside seems to retain much of the old décor and fixtures. Very clean; staff very helpful; prices very good. Covered parking included beneath the hotel was very convenient, especially during a rainstorm.

We got a double queen room on the second floor so we could sleep 4. There was no window, but there was a sky light. We adjusted to this fairly quickly. The room also had a sink, 'fridge, and microwave station outside the bathroom, and that was great. AC worked fine. Room was very clean and comfortable.

Each occupant gets a $5 voucher to use for breakfast at the on-site restaurant, so this adds extra savings to the stay. The food was good and plentiful. We didn't eat dinner there, but would certainly consider it; the locals packed the place on the Saturday evening we were there.

Short walk to the old downtown area. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Some rooms have access to a 2nd floor balcony; this looked like it might be a good idea in the coole...

Stayed at this hotel because of location of a movie shoot we were involved with on the square in Harrison. The hotel was very nice well kept and staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious. Beds were very comfortable. Pleasantly surprised. Even though the building was built in 1929 it was in great condition. Would highly recommend

The perfect place to spend an otherwise stressful week! Boutique feel, friendly staff, spacious room with balcony, comfy club chairs and yet a feel of nostalgia. After the first day we felt as though we were going home at the end of the day - and treated as such by the staff. Great location to walk around the downtown and shop at Shelby's.

The topper was our 2 or 3 meals a day at "Foley's" restaurant off the lobby. This was an unexpected pleasure -- cooked to order breakfast and evening treats. Just when we thought it couldn't get better we ordered from the "comfort food" section of the menu. Wow! Again, amazingly hospitable staff is dedicated to making you welcome and happily sated.

We'll be back in 3 months and I can't wait!

GeoPat

Room Tip: For a trip longer than a day, just take a look at the King Suite with balcony.

Excellent value. Very modern rooms with just a touch of the past left in place for charm. Delicious free breakfast made to order (one choice is 2 eggs, hash browns, biscuit, and orange juice! I got an omelet instead of the 2 eggs so I paid a dollar as difference in price.) Covered parking. Beautiful lobby. Modern spacious shower. Very nice employees. Walking distance to town square. All in all -- best in town.

Room Tip: The lowest price room was a queen bed. Excellent value for that price.
