“What a Super Place and really cool riding cars for kids out back”

The educational hands on exhibits are awesome and the outdoor play areas frm tree house to ride on cars for kids are super. The kids can learn about finance or take a car apart or build a wood car- paint on a glass house or augar grain through the farm elevator system- Snack area to buy and eat snacks, awesome science type books gifts, The staff and volunteers are wonderful and really count it a privilege to educate children. medical clinics, vet clinics, air machines, baby areas, toddler areas, very safe secure and can watch several children simulatenously, By an annual pass with reciprocal privileges and even a nanny addiiton/ grandparent add on is great!

“High quality children's museum”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

I have a 6 and a 2 year old, and they both love the Discovery Center. The outdoor area is rapidly improving, with its new treehouse, its obstacle course, and its cement trails for young children to ride various trikes and bikes on. I hope that they are planning on adding even more to the outdoors. Favorite indoor exhibits include the autoshop, grain elevator, paint room, and wind machines. My children also like some of the toys for pretend play like puppets and the child's kitchen. It gets expensive unless you buy a membership and go fairly regularly. Also, I was shocked at how terribly crowded it can get when I took the kids over the summer during the week (they literally bring in busloads of kids and it is hard to keep track of your own in the crowd).

“Great child attraction”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2012

Lots to do for kids including painting, woodworking, and an awesome tree house. Many of the activities encourage interaction and assistance from the parents. We spent about three hours with our four year old. Very reasonably priced at $6.50 for children and adults.

“good thing to do with the little ones”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2012

This place has some fun activities for the kids. all of the exhibits are hands-on and put together in a fun way for kids to learn about the world around them. It is very easy to spend several hours "playing" with them in this location.

“Great Addition to a little city”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 7, 2012

I have visited twice with my children (22 months and 4) and their grandparents. Each time the kids had a great time. This last time (Labor Day) we checked out the outside section which seems largely undeveloped. I hope it is ready to go next year. Favorite indoor activities included the grain elevator, paint room (22 month old would not leave), the auto shop, and the carpentry center. In general the exhibits are really well designed and because of that the Kansas Discover Center holds its own against the larger children's museums.
