Every time I go there, I tell myself I'm going to try something new. And every time, I order the same meal: the Turkey Delight sandwich. Real sliced turkey, flavorful tomato (even in December!), great non-greasy bacon, and molten cheese on grilled bread - doesn't begin to describe how surprisingly delicious this sandwich is. My dining companions have had other fare - pork tenderloin sandwich, hot open-faced beef with mashed potatoes and gravy, among others - and all have pronounced it delicious. But the standout is the pies. Many varieties every day. Lovely crust (and I am a pretty severe crust critic), great fillings. The cherry crumb is a favorite, as is the blackberry and the German chocolate pie. Chocolate pie is OK, not normally my thing, but the German chocolate pie is a must-try. This is a down-home kind of place, small, not big on shiny decor, but it's a jewel!
