Quaint hamburger joint which is located in Tupelo, Ms. Heck, they even have the booth labeled where Elvis would come in as a child and have his RC cola and moonpie. I have been going to Johnnie's for years and love the atmosphere and food. Great place to grab a burger, fries, or barbeque. The owner, Don Knight, is very friendly and goes out of his way to make your experience a pleasure. The drive in is located a couple of blocks from the Elvis museum and birthplace.

Let's be honest the only reason most people go here is because of the ELVIS connection. If you were looking for a good place to eat you would drive straight past. I've eaten here as our tour guide took us here but it looks shabby and not a place I would have chosen to eat. Food passable, friendly enough service but if it wasn't for the Elvis connection I think this place would have closed years ago. Don't expect much and you won't be dissapointed.

A chat in a local pharmacy the previous day had sent us to Johnny's , having been told this was Elvis' favourite place to eat! However, they had "Gone to Church", this being Sunday. Never mind, back next morning for breakfast, which is- I suspect- a really good time to eat in Johnny's. Actually breakfast was officially over ( we were not up early- but it was not that late either!), so we ordered things like egg sandwiches and hash browns. We ate in the Elvis booth, under a photograph of him eating in the same booth as a young man. It was a really enjoyable experience, good wholesome food and quite amazing value. Good fun- and definitely to be recommended if you are on the Elvis trail!

I had to go here as this is where Elvis loved to eat. Elvis stuff is everywhere. The food is awesome and you can see why Elvis loved to eat here. Elvis forever at Johnnie's
