This museum/site is very well done, worth the visit. Expected it to be a 15-minute visit, and ended up spending a couple of hours. There is the home Elvis was born in, the church he attended (which has a great surround video), a museum, movie, gift shop, and gardens. The cherry on top is the Elvis videos playing in the rest rooms.

We truly enjoyed the tour of the small home where Elvis was born. The information was fascinating and the museum and grounds are well maintained and delightful to visit!

Fun to see where Elvis was born. The grounds are very well kept and the place is clean and beautifully landscaped. The museum and gift shop are full of great things to see.

We just happened to be in Tupelo, MS on the January 8--Elvis's birthday. We decided to visit his museum and the home where he was born. There were city council members as well as Tupelo's Mayor in attendance and cake, punch, and coffee was served to the sizable visiting crowd which included a bus load of people from England and Wales plus people local and from around the USA. It was a bitterly cold day but we enjoyed the short video on the place where Elvis was born and spent his first few years as well as the home in which he was born. After he was famous, he came back to the area and stated he would perform for free if the city would purchase land near where he was born and move his childhood home and church there as well as provide a park for the area children.(Elvis was born on the wrong side of the tracks) and he did not forget his roots. The museum is worth seeing as well and we enjoyed our visit. We did not get to the church but did go through the 2-room home in which he was born. Some of the reviews are not very flattering but we were able to get past the acting in the film to the fact that the people who live and work here are grateful for the benefits provided by Elvis's fame.

This is a very sad commentary on Elvis, the film they offer in the museum is the absolute worst acting you will ever see. We happened to be go on the birthday of Elvis and they offered free admission. We can honestly say that is all that it is worth. The home is not the way it looked when Elvis lived there. Our tip just drive by and take your pictures and go on your way.
