Owner description: Get up close to our animals with the Monster Bison Bus and you can also see exotic animals like Tall Boy & Patches (our giraffes that will actually eat out of your hand!) and so much more! Our Petting zoo has a variety of different animals. With rabbits, turkeys, pigmy goats, pot belly pigs "Lucy" the miniature cow, "Bucky" the fallow deer, and some miniature horses. With the addition of our very own Turken Frisel, the petting zoo has become even more unusual and exciting. These are only a few of the animals that we have in our petting zooThe Tupelo Buffalo Park and Zoo is proud to be the home of the White Buffalo "TUKOTA" (Too-ko-ta). A white buffalo is considered by the Sioux Indian tribes to be the most sacred living thing you could encounter.

If it were just a buffalo reserve it would be neat but they bill themselves as a zoo and the conditions that they keep these animals in is deplorable. Tickets are overpriced and place is not stroller friendly.

Love the fort the kids can play on and the playground. The train ride was awesome. My kid had a chance to see the animals up close and personal. Kids loved it.

We decided to visit during our stay in Booneville. It's a great value where a family of 4 get in for $30. Take the trolley ride for $3 additional each person, it's worth every penny. Feeding the tallest giraffe TallBoy was so cool for the kids. The animals were all well cared for, clean pens, clean water and even large fans since it was 93 degrees. I'd advise visiting in the Fall, very hot in Summer. This is a delight and I will be back in October to see the corn maze and pumpkin patch .

There may not be the variety of animals at a zoo like Memphis but there are many more than you would think and placed in a more ineractive way. Children will love the pony rides, playground, and bus ride with a nosey giraffe trying to poke his head inside as well as osritches, deer, and goats they can feed by hand.
