“Small but Nice”
Reviewed April 3, 2012

Spent a weekend here, the hotel is very small but quaint. Upon arrival the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The electronic check in is very quick and easy. The rooms are a bit small, and the showers even smaller. That was the only thing I found a little annoying. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

When the main point of a hotel is to SLEEP there, then one would think that the bed should be the best part of the stay. If you have a bad sleep because of the bed, chances are you won't go back even if everything else was great. Club Quarters only went cheap on the bedding. The sheets were hard and stiff and almost felt like they would scratch you during the night. The floor was softer than the sheets and comforter. No blanket either?? I really liked the quality of everything else for the price of the stay but really can't believe they would cheap out on the number one thing that people are there for. Sadly we were not comfortable.
Staff excellent! Location perfect! Parking perfect! Service perfect! Bed Bad!

I stayed at the Club Quarters hotel for 2 nights and it was a comfortable stay. It's a curious mix in terms of amenities, it offers some nice touches such as some phone chargers in the Club Room, but then lacks some features which you might otherwise expect (e.g. in room safes). It is situated in the centre of Boston, but is quiet, with most of the surrounding buildings being office blocks. It is very easily reached from the airport using the Blue line to State St Station. The reception area is compact, and check in can be done via the desk, but check in using the automated machines is encouraged. The staff were courteous, but there wasn't a description of the facilities on check in, however, all of these were made clear in the room itself. It is possible to store your bag after check out, but as they are stored on another floor, make sure you allow them 5-10 minutes to retrieve it.

I booked a standard room and this was decently sized. The decor is dark and a bit dated, but was not visibly showing wear and tear. It is possible to control the temperature in the room with a thermostat. The room is good if you want to work as it has a well kitted out desk with a desk lamp, and cables to attach a laptop to the TV screen, alongside a comfortable chair. Additionally free wireless internet is provided, and they have a nifty service which allows you to send documents to the printer located in the lounge room on the ground floor. There is a coffee making machine (with a solitary tea bag too), but no fridge. Additionally, there isn't a safe in the room or ironing facilitates. The bed was fine, and whilst not uncomfortable, it is some way off the beds you get at some of the big chains. The bathroom had a decent shower unit with good pressure, although as others have mentioned, the walls are a bit thin, and it was possible to hear the plumbing in the adjacent rooms. The bathroom amenities included a full size hair dryer, soap, body lotion, shampoo and dental rinse.

Breakfast and other dining is available in the adjacent pub/restaurant, and there is a Club lounge on the ground floor to relax with some complimentary services such as newspapers, complimentary coffee & tea from a Keurig K-Cup machine and water (in addition to the water machines on each floor - which I liked). There are also 2 PC terminals with a printer. There is no room service, but they do provide a call-in service with local restaurants for a modest fee.

I just spent a few nights here for a long weekend getaway, and I would definitely recommend it. It's a small, modern hotel. Nice room, comfortable bed, helpful staff. Excellent location. The hotel is about two blocks from the subway and several historic attractions, including Faneuil Hall. It's right on the Freedom Trail, actually. The aquarium is about a five to 10-minute walk or one stop on the blue line, with the airport about two or three stops.

I have stayed at the Club Quarters Boston a few times over the past several years. The place is billed as an exclusive lodging club, and sits in a niche somewhere between basic business hotels and full service establishments. Check in and check out are accomplished via touch screen kiosks, althought there is usually a staff member nearby. There is a nice lounge/business center available as a gathering place.

Rooms are very small (although I've stayed in smaller rooms in some NY boutique hotels) and simply appionted. The queen bed is pretty basic - no specially branded bedding or multiple layers of sheets and feathers here - but comfortable. There is a good desk for work, a small-ish flatscreen TV, and a comfortable chair with an attached table, sort of like a lecture hall desk. WiFi is free and fast. The bathroom is modern and up to date, and the shower is excellent.

Location is perfect if you have business downtown, and it's close to many of the major historic sites. It's also close to several transit stations. An outpost the the Elephant and Castle pub chain is attached, and offers decent dining options.

The Club Quarters Boston wouldn't be my first choice for leisure travel, but for business in downtown Boston, it's nearly ideal.

We had a great time staying at Club Quarters Boston.
Staff was very helpful, accommodating and pleasant.
Got there a little early and the room was ready.
Perfect location for shopping (Macy's, TJ Maxx, DSW, and Marshall's right around the corner),
Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market.
Took the "T" to Copley Square and then on to the North End for dinner.

Close to everything.

Easy on and off the highway.

I travel to Boston regularly on business and this time my company put me up at the Club Quarters Boston. Probably the best thing about this property is its location. It's within walking distance to every major tourist site in Boston, great shopping and great restaurants. The hotel itself is clean. The staff is friendly. I felt like I was walking in to an old private club in England. I was very impressed with the staff. The room was clean, modern but with traditional elements. The area surrounding the hotel is quiet. For a single business traveler, the size was perfect. My only complain is that the shower is too small for my taste. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel.
