“LOVE THE ROOF TOP POOL”
Reviewed August 24, 2011

Great location for the Back Bay, the park and Newbury St. kind of a hike if you want to hang out at Fanuiel Hall. Staff was friendly and our room was clean with a nice view on the 11th floor. The beds and pillows were heavenly, we had breakfast at the restaurant and it was very good, wish we would have eaten there for dinner. The absolute best was the roof top pool. I believe it is the only hotel in Boston with an outside pool and the outstanding service by the pool made it even better. One suggestion would be if you have more than two people staying the in the room, pay for the upgrade to a larger room. I would definiately recommend.

Room Tip: 11th floor and ask for an upgrade to a larger room

The hotel couldn't have been in a better location for my wife and I's needs, on a short first trip to Boston. Right across the street from the Prudential Centre and just steps from a T station, Prudential. It had excellent links further into city. Lovely bars just a short walk to fashionable Newbury Street. Try Papa Razzi very friendly bar stafNiceSt had a nice comfy bed, and otherwise not too bad a double room. Just wish that the door to the room had some noise insulation, noise from folks chatting as they went to from their rooms was really intrusive. And the noise went both ways as you could hear clearly what folks were up to in their rooms as you walked passed, ahem!

Rooms are a good size for a city centre hotel, and very clean. Right opposite the Prudential building. A quick cab ride to all of the key tourist spots. The kids loved the roof top pool.
Make sure that you get a rate that includes breakfast and parking

Rooms were clean, tastefully decorated and spacious. Service was very good (the front desk was very acommodating as we changed rooms to get a better view). Good location near the Prudential mall.

Lovely hotel if not a bit pricey. Close to everything. Rooftop pool was closed due to inclement weather. Got a special rate so we could afford it. Wanted to stay one more day but the price doubled so we had to check out. Close to great family restaurants.

The room was very clean and bright. We arrived in town in the morning and they were very accommodating with allowing us to check in early. The staff were very friendly whenever we had questions or needed directions. Parking was expensive but heard that is typical for east coast. The hotel was very easy to get to from the interstate.

I recently returned from an extended stay at the Colonnade Hotel in Boston. My experience was amazing. The hotel is beautiful, clean and organized. But the people made the stay. Every single person at the Colonnade was outstanding. I never once felt out of place asking a question or expressing a need. Every guest is treated equally well. I travel a lot for business, and I have never felt more at home in a hotel. If you are in the Boston area, you will fully enjoy your Colonnade stay.
