“Too far from centre”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

This hotel is in an area without restaurants or shops apart from one large supermarket about a quarter mile walk away. There is no restaurant in the hotel so you need to take the subway into town. Subway about a five minute walk away and four stops direct to Boston centre. The hotel itself has a Starbucks which also serves some food but it is very basic for such a large hotel.
There is a small bar and nice lounge area in the lobby. Reception staff pleasant enough. The room we had faced the water which was nice. It was a fair size with two large queenbeds which were extremely comfortable. Coffee machine in room but no fridge or microwave. Room well serviced daily. The advantage of the hotel is that due to its location it is quiet and peaceful but be prepared to travel into town for restaurants and shopping.

Room Tip: Sunny room overlooking lake

We got to the hotel and were checked in early and that was very nice. However, when we were touring around boston, we were told our card was declined. We called our bank and they told us that there was a hold from the hotel for thousands of dollars. We were so frustrated we had to go back and deal with that instead of touring around the area. It pretty much wasted a day of our travel. The manager on duty ended up figuring out that a new person had changed the rate of our hotel room by accident and said there were tons of people staying in our room. She was nice and tried to accomadate us and eventually lowered the rate after we had to deal with all of this. It was nice place near down town and the shuttle to the airport was nice. The room we had overlooked the bay and it was pretty, but the room was very small. We wished there was more things in the area for dinner because you had to go almost back downtown to eat anything. It was alot of money to stay here and not be down town.

The hotel is at the Expo and thus a little far from city center, but only a 5 mins walk from the train station. It takes 2 dollars and 15 mins to get downtown.
The room was nice and quiet, very clean and well equipped. I would have loved to open the window, but hat was not possible (even on ground floor).

My family and I stayed here in August I wasnt a fan of the fact you had to pay for parking. The rooms were nice and spacious. The cafe food was ok could definitely use a restaurant on site. The Starbucks was not a true Starbucks which was alittle disappointing. My in laws used the the hotel shuttle which they were very pleased with.

The hotel was good. A bit crowded at the lobby when we checked in. We had to wait 40 mts after we called for the shuttle to come in. It was very crowded. The check in at the lobby was very crowded. The hotel was nice. We did not use the shuttle going back as our friends dropped us off. There is no free breakfast however they have a cafeteria in the lobby where you could get hot breakfast.

Room Tip: The waiting time for the shuttle was a bit too long & the front lobby was too busy when we check...

I was here for only one night in August
I would have to say that the rooms are up to standard. Nothing good nor bad about it. It was clean which is important.
Location was terrible. There is nothing nearby except for a University. I cabbed from chinatown area to the hotel. Approximately $!5 w/ tip.
The staff was extremely helpful. They have a shuttle service going from the airport. Also they service a few other locations as well. Can't remember off the top of my head. One of such locations was South Station. I asked the concierge if he could make an exception and drop me off closer to Chinatown. The driver was happy to oblige. I was very happy about that.
Price was decent but that is probably because the area was not good.
