“GREAT LOCATION, COOL BUILDING”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2010

We took advantage of a $99.00 per night winter special via Expedia.com. Beautiful hotel, although the pictures on-line make the rooms & lobby look much bigger. Loved the exposed brick and modern fixtures. We had an "atrium view" room. Turns out, the "artium" we were facing seemed to be a 12 X 12 shaft that faced the other rooms directly (keep your shades drawn). Next time, we'll try a city view room.
The location was fantastic. We walked to everything.
Front desk staff were very dry & boring. Not high on the friendly meter. They could use some perky lessons.

This was our first trip to Boston, to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary and we had enjoyable stay at the Haborside Inn of Boston. It doesn't have all fancy amenities as the other major hotels. But if your looking for quiet and romantic weekend this is the place to stay. This hotel is in a perfect location and within minutes of everything, like subway, Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall. The staff was nice and helpful and the rooms were comfortable and clean. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. We would stay there again.

Regards,
CTP

A decent hotel in a perfect location. Staff are apathetic, but helpful when required. The rooms are big, with all mod cons apart from a safe. It's not luxury, but it's clean and functional.

We were delighted with this small hotel!
It is located just off the Interstate, so only required a couple of blocks of driving in the city. Very easy for small town drivers. We parked the car upon arrival and it was not needed until we left to return home. The Hop On- Hop Off Trolley is located right across the street along with New England Aquarium. The T is literally right outside the front door. Quincy Market, Faneuil Hall and The Old State House are just a couple blocks away. Many choices for dining are all nearby.
The room, while nothing special, was comfortable and clean and perfect for a weekend get-away. We chose a city view room and were pleased by the lights of the city by night and the early sun in the morning. The window treatment did allow a lot of light in the room which wasn't the greatest for sleeping...but I thought that was a trade off for choosing city view room.
Because we chose to travel in winter we were able to take advantage of a winter sale on the price of the room...great deal. We also took advantage of the winter rates for the Hop On- Hop Off Trolley...two days for the price of one.
The staff was helpful and allowed us to check -in much earlier than the normal check-in time. We had trouble with the Wi-Fi in our room, but there was bank of computers in the lobby and there was never a wait.
We were very pleased with our entire stay and would certainly plan to stay here again in the future!

Excellent downtown location across the T from the Aquarium stop on State Street for $113 per night. Next time I go back, I will ask for a window that overlooks the street instead of a window overlooking the shaft topped by a skylight. Other than that, the place was fine, comfortable and a bargain.

Very nice, clean hotel. Perfect location...literally a 30 second walk from Quincy Market, 2 minute walk to the aquarium, and the T (subway) is directly outside the frint door. Perfect spot to stay if you want to get around Beantown. Great restaurants within 5 minutes walk.

We stayed here for three nights over New Year's Eve weekend. Paid $500 in total including all taxes and thought it was a great deal considering the excellent location (walking distance to Fanueil Hall and right by the T). Staff was very nice and helpful when we asked them questions. Rooms are small, but clean and there was plenty of room in the bathroom for our toiletries. We stayed in an atrium room by the elevator and had NO problem with noise at all whatsoever. We will stay here again when in Boston and parking was only 2 - 3 short blocks away and only cost us $58 for our entire stay. All in all a great value in a wonderful city.
