“Great location, average hotel.”
Reviewed April 10, 2011

Good points: LOCATION (a few steps from T, a few steps from Fanueil Hall, a few steps from financial district, a short sprint to airport); friendly staff (loaned me their personal umbrella, spent an hour rewiring our TV, gave lots of detailed area directions, all super helpful and responsive); price (decent discount.)
Bad points: NO help whatsoever with luggage, had to handle 4 suitcases down narrow halls by ourselves. No room service or restaurant. Charge for internet. No gym/workout center. Worst of all: NO NATURAL LIGHT IN ROOM. You start to get the willies after a while when you are in a totally enclosed cell. Rooms face inner courtyard, had to keep blinds closed for privacy, got no light at all, didn't know if it was day or night, sunny or rainy.

Room Tip: Ask for one with an outside window, if one exists.

I would recommand this hotel. Perfectly situated (the subway stop "Aquarium" is right in front of the building") this hotel is a good pick. Complimentary tea and coffee in the lobby, vending machine downstairs at a reasonable price. This hotel does not provide breakfast, however the "Au bon pain" shop at a few minutes walk sells croissants and other yummy pastries to start the day.
We had an "atrium view" room which was a little bit "depressive" due to the lack of light, I would probably recommand choosing a "outside view" room. Otherwise it was a great stay.

A very helpful evening clerk helped us map out our stay and even provided us with tickets for the T to relax what might have been a hectic morning. We were centrally located, and also had ready access to the T. The room was clean, cozy and well appointed. We'd come back here in a heartbeat!

Right across the street from the waterfront (Long Warf). Spacious, clean rooms with nice bathroom/shower. Friendly and helpful staff.

Walking distance to numerous retaurants and the "T" (the boston train/subway). I did not have a car so I don't know about the parking situation . No in hotel retaurant or breakfast but plenty of nearby place available.

Hotel serves free coffee/tea in lobby at all time. Free computer terminal/internet access in lobby.

Stayed in room 602 Mar 16th and 17th. We were traveling for leisure from SoCal for St Paddys Day. Location is ridiculously great.. Pubs, bars, and restaurants ( a lot) 3 mins away. Blue line from airport about 30 large steps. You are in the heart of the action.
The room was great. Very clean and quiet. I guess some people may think it would be small but it was perfect if you're going out and seeing the city and not just sitting in the room.. Service great. When making reservations I was going for cost. The big name hotels were in the 200's, this was 135 a night. Not one single complaint.

We were very happy with our stay here. The location wasconvenient to everything we had planned. The room was spotless, comfortable bedding and beautiful lighting. We get to Boston often ...we usually stay at a large chain hotel closer to our daughter's school...but were never impressed and prices were higher. We will stay here from now on. What a great find!

Excellent value. Have stayed here several times for one-night getaways from the kids.

Lobby: Clean, comfortable. Several computers with a printer set up for use. Free coffee/tea. Some might call the decor dark and uninviting, a bit industrial. Only staff is typically one person at the desk. They are businesslike and professional but not particularly friendly or welcoming. No lobby rest rooms. No vending machines.

No restaurant.

Room: Two options- atrium view (which means air shaft) and city view (which is usually a view of nearby tall buildings). Don't go for the view, unless you can pick a specific room. Bare brick walls with intriguing details left over from previous life as a factory or warehouse. Very comfortable beds, plenty of pillows. Roomy, with a table and chairs. Large flat-screen TV with stereo and DVD player. Baths vary in size from cramped to huge. No tub, just shower. Everything is clean and modern.

Generally quiet, but sometimes a little street noise from bars below drifts up.

No coffee maker in the room.

Location: Perfect for walking around downtown. Use Google maps to check it out if you are going to quibble over a few tenths of a mile to get to specific locations. Lots of restaurants nearby. Parking is a hassle, as *anywhere* in downtown boston. Expect to pay 2X for a room elsewhere with "free" parking.
