“Good Hotel near the Airport”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2013

This is a nice, remodeled Courtyard that is convenient to Logan airport. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The room also appeared to be very clean. If you are parking here and taking the van to the airport, just give yourself a little extra time. Their airport van service does not leave at specific times, rather it leaves about every 20 minutes, if memory serves me correctly. As long as you plan accordingly, this will not be an issue.

I stay here a lot for work. They did a nice remodel from it being a Ramada. Especially nixing the outdoor pool and making it indoor so it can be enjoyed year round. But the floors/hallways smell like a basement sometimes, like a damp mildew smell. The ice machine on your floor may or may not be working and the restaurant closes from about 1 or 2 till 5 so don't get hungry in between that time!

The gym is good for a decent workout but there is a Planet Fitness that used to be a Gold's Gym right behind the hotel across the parking lot so if you need a more well-rounded workout and are a member, that's always an option. For other food options, that would be about a 15+ min walk away.

Another pet peeve is that there seems to be about 3 or 4 shuttle drivers that I've seen over the past year or so, but there is one who is clearly too old to be doing the job. As is customary to tip $1 to hotel shuttle drivers for assisting with your luggage, this poor guy never steps down the steps and can barely lift your bag. You end up doing it yourself.

One bright side is that every once in a blue moon in the evening there will be fresh baked cookies at check-in! But I would suggest finding somewhere else to stay if you will need to be here for longer than 1 night.

Nice renovation of a hotel that used to be a Ramada. Wife and I use it to stay the night before a vacation and take their shuttle to the airport. Leaving the car at the hotel vs a park and ride place. A bit less money and better service. Resturant at the hotel has a very limited menu but what we had was ok...Haddock and a chiclen parm. New pool health club area was nice but we didn't have the time to use it.

Room Tip: Back side of the building offers views of the airport and planes departing and landing.

I bought the stay, park and fly package. I felt that it was worth it. I wouldn't stay at this hotel for any reason other than flying out in the early morning. I was able to get a rate to what it would have coated just to park at the airport.

I live about 5 miles from this hotel, and stay there frequently to top off necessary nights needed for Marriott Reward promotions, as well as when I have flights that depart earlier than I able to arrive via public transit. The hotel is about 3 miles from the airport, and has 24 hour on request transportation. When Marriott purchased the property from Holiday Inn, it was originally going to be a full blown Marriott. I'm not sure what the reasoning was, but they opted to make it Courtyard, and my wallet is very thankful. Each room I have stayed in has been spotless, without any of the normal heavy wear and tear that seems to be so common in airport hotels. I find the Courtyard beds to be more comfortable than my own, so I'm always happy when it comes time to sleep. If you are lucky enough to obtain a room in the newer wing of the hotel and have a south facing room, you will have an absolutely wonderful view of the Boston skyline. The restaurant and lounge in the hotel is excellent , and nothing like the normal Courtyard setups around the States. The bar staff have been at the hotel for years, and take excellent care of their customers. We will stop in for a drink on our way home from Boston as it is so convenient, pleasant, and not outrageously priced. The hotel frequently has last minute weekend discounts, so check it out if you are coming to Boston for a weekend as well. Free parking is almost a bonus in this neck of the woods. It is an easy walk to the local MBTA Orient Heights train station as well, so you are able to access Boston directly via the subway which saves additional money. At the moment this station is closed for renovation, but you could still take the hotel shuttle to the airport and hop on the subway from there using free shuttle buses. I have referred this hotel to coworkers who fly into Boston for business and will be visiting clients in the suburbs, and all of them now consider this their hotel of choice.

My husband and I stayed here one night before catching an early morning flight. It is what you would expect from an airport hotel - basically a turn and burn operation. Guest service was fast and efficient however lacked any kind of "hospitality". The room was clean and comfortable. The woman bartender (wish I remembered her name) was great. She had a great sense of humor and provided good service. The best aspect of the stay was being able to park our car for the duration of our vacation and the shuttle bus driver (again, I wish I remembered his name). I would stay here again because of the convenience to the airport and the "free" parking (included in your overnight room rate).

I stayed 1 night before flying out of Logan. The staff at check in was very friendly & efficient. The room was spacious & clean, with modern furnishings. I had a rental car but they did have constant shuttles to the airport. The next morning it took me less than 10 mins to get to the airport.
