The Midtown Hotel
Ranked #65 of 84 Hotels in Boston

If Boston is your destination, and a hotel is a place to stay while you're there, Location and price make the Midtown Hotel a good choice.
.
PRO- The Hotel-Large rooms, clean, simply furnished, Comfortable beds.Staff is courteous and helpful. Parking is available underneath, and as far as i could see, much cheaper than other places around. The location is incredible with nearby shopping, concert halls and theaters, museums and if you don't like those things, two T stations are a real short walk away
BUT...Noise!
The walls are thin, and the clientele seemed to be groups of uh...exuberant college students.
Also, the hotel runs close along a major road, so if you're on that side of the hotel, traffic noise might be an issue for you. If you stay, ask for a room away from the road.

One more thing- WiFi is not free

Room Tip: -Rooms away from road in front of hotel are quieter. -Ask if young people are staying near, and ask...

Staff were very friendly and courteous, rooms were very basic but very clean, BIG tv in rooms, prettty spacious for a basic motel room, coffee supplies, sink area separate from shower/toilet which is convenient when you have a room full of women, motel was within walking distance to town centre, and 25min walk to feneul hall. Great experience overall, would definitely recommend, as long as you're not seeking luxury.

The room was a bit old fashioned, but it was large and clean and the staff - especially Walter - were really friendly and helpful. Great location and very good value for money. Ask for a quiet room if you don't want to be right next to the busy street.

This Hotel is obviously a little outdated, but who cares? Its clean, the staff VERY accommodating and the location for Boston is perfect and the hotel is AFFORDABLE for Boston. Its location is in walking distance to the theaters, T, and restaurants. You have parking available to leave your car. We always stay here for these reasons. Be realistic, you don't go to Boston to stay IN the hotel, only sleep and go out and enjoy the town.

Room Tip: We got upgraded to a suite unexpectedly. I don't know how much more that would have been but it...

We were pleasantly surprised on arrival at the Midtown (after reading some of the previous reviews we weren’t expecting much). All staff were extremely pleasant and helpful while booking in and for the duration of our stay. We had a problem with our return transfers (booked with the holiday) and the Concierge and Front Desk were so helpful.
Our room was really spacious, comfortable beds and very clean, small bathroom with plenty of towels. We had no problem with noise, in or outside the hotel, we were at the front.
The best thing about the Midtown is it’s location. It’s in Back Bay, which is a really nice neighbourhood, right opposite the Christian Science Centre (well worth a visit to the Mapparium), and two minutes from the Prudential Centre. Copley Square, Newbury Street and Boyslton Street with shops and eating places minutes away. There are a few T stations just up the road (really easy to use the underground) and the Old Town Trolley Bus stops opposite the Prudential Centre, useful for sightseeing and as transport. We were so tired by the evening so it was great to be near the Prudential Centre, where we normally ate but there are other places close.
This hotel was excellent for us, it’s an affordable central hotel, a great base to explore Boston. We would definitely stay at this hotel if we were to visit Boston again.

This hotel is great as a base for a city break, given the excellent location close to downtown Boston. The Symphony T-Stop is closest to the hotel, literally one minutes walk from the main hotel entrance.

There is little to fault with this hotel, bearing in mind it is a budget hotel so therefore don't expect 5 star luxury! Despite it being budget, the rooms are massive and very clean, especially the bathroom. Towels were in plentiful supply, of good quality and were changed every day. The rooms also have large flatscreen LG TV's, with a huge range of channels and tea and coffee.

The staff were very friendly throughout our stay and the only time we needed their help was with the wifi signal, which we learnt does struggle in rooms at the front of the building but the great view makes up for this!

I would recommend this hotel to those who want an affordable, clean, well located, comfortable hotel which is perfect for exploring Boston.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front of the hotel have great views but poor wi-fi signal.

This hotel is ideal for anyone who is travelling on a budget. The hotel was roughly $125.00 each night. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were very helpful. The hotel is close to the Prudential Center which is a more high end mall, however there is a Galleria Mall in Cambrige which is only a 10-15 cab ride. The TD Gardens is also about a 10 cab ride. There are severeal good food places in the area, including The Cheesecake Factory which has a wide menu to choose from and over 50 types of Cheesecakes for desserts. P.F Changs is also around the corner and has an excellent selection of food as well.

Overall this hotel is great (if your high maintenance then you may not like this hotel as some of the furtniture and decor are a bit outdated- but who cares your in Boston and most likely wont be spending a lot of time in your room)
