This is a great alternative to staying at a regular hotel! The suites are very spacious, loved every minute of the time we spent in the room

Most impressive is the history of this building and the amazing view from the observatory deck.

A beautiful building in a convenient location. Room was excellent with great view.
I would like the customer service manager to pass on my thanks to the staff working here. To a person, they were helpful and courteous, without being over the top.
I would definitely come back.

Room tip: Got to aim high to get the most of the views

Loved having a suite for our family for the same price or less than a regular room elsewhere. Room was brand new renovated and very nice. Appreciated getting a rollaway bed so my young son could sleep in the same room as us. The activities center on the 20th floor is a great little room for about 18 months - 6 years old. Great selection of books and toys plus loved the colonial costumes available. All very clean. Also Appreciated the kids activities they offered at the front desk.

We had a low floor facing Faneuil Hall and it could get a bit noisy at night especially starting Thursday nights when the late night partying kicks in.

The kitchenette was super helpful. We went to Roche Bros. supermarket about 10-15 min walk away and got cereal, milk, water, snacks, etc. Also learned to make scrambled eggs in the microwave since no stove. Saved lots of $$ on breakfast this way. The continental breakfast they offer each morning is way overpriced. Each piece of bread costs $1 so for 4 slices it's $4, the price of an entire loaf. On the plus side, the Starbucks coffee is free.

Every employee we encountered was super friendly which always makes a stay more pleasant.

Location was easy walk to the kids stuff we did - aquarium (hotel room key gets you $5 off per ticket). Children's Museum, Boston Tea Party Ship and Museum (coupons in the free magazines at the concierge). If you walk over there be sure to stop at James Hook for a lobster roll - fantastic!!

Took the T to Legoland outside of the city, about a 10 min walk to the State St station. Furthest thing we did was the Franklin Park Zoo. It was easy via T then bus transfer but used Uber for the way back for our tired feet which cost $16.

Also walked to North End for Italian food and to see the Paul Revere house and North Church. Highly recommend.

Great location, great rooms, great staff, great stay!

This hotel really does deserve its high rating on TA. We stayed here for two nights at the end of July and thought the hotel and staff were excellent. The location is perfect, close to the harbor, historical sights, restaurants, bars and shopping. It's a beautiful building with a must see viewing area on the top floor. The views are lovely. The hotel does have a bar, but when we popped in for a look there were only two people in there listening to a singer. It would gave been a very pleasant place for a drink but with being empty, it lacked a little atmosphere. Perhaps it was a slow night, but I'm guessing the lively bars close to the hotel are more popular. A shame. Saying that, there are many fun bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk - some very loud and full of college age kids, but the hotel was very quiet and serene. We stayed on the 10th floor and had an excellent night's sleep. Our room was 1004 which meant the bedroom had a harbor view and the living room a city view. I think rooms ending in 02 and 03 had the best harbor views and 05 only city views, but I'm sure the wonderful staff would advise you. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. I was using the pull out sofa bed, which I was not looking forward to ... But what a surprise! It was very comfortable and I slept well over the two nights. Wish I'd asked the make of the sofa bed. You can't go wrong staying at this hotel. I would definitely recommend it, and I would certainly return.

We own timeshare at the custom house and have owned it since the first year it was opened. The staff is exceptional and the accommodation are outstanding. The entire building was redecorated in 2015-2016 and is a big improvement. We recomend that if you have a chance you should stay there
