My only wish was that I could have stayed longer. Great staff and very accommodating personnel at each step along the way from Parking Attendants, Bellhops, Front Desk Check-ins to the Hospitality Area - Bar Staff. They could not have been nicer to me. FANTASTIC, and don't miss the only outdoor observation deck in the City. At night it looks down on Quincy Marketplace and the Long Wharf area along Atlantic Ave.and the Rose Kennedy Greenway. Also, it's near the Aquarium and many Historic Attractions.

Room Tip: On weekends the street noise might bother some. There are many bars down below and this is a college...

Our annual girls' weekend was in Boston this year and we decided on Marriott's Custom House. We reserved two rooms, which were spacious, nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. The small kitchenette with the refridgerator, complimentary coffee, wine glasses, etc. was wonderful. The location of the hotel is perfect. Very close to everything. We loved that part. We had a couple criticisms and one complaint. They have one ice machine -- it's on the 24th floor. Also, the toilets in the rooms are unbelievably loud when you flush them. It's crazy. Our main complaint was the noise that came from the streets at about 2am each night. I guess that's when all the local bars let out. Between the sirens, screaming and yelling, there was no way you could sleep through it. We were on the 5th and 6th floors and I suppose if you were higher up in the building, the noise wouldn't be as bad. We were there for three nights and it was the same thing each night. Woke us out of a sound sleep. My advice: request a room on one of the higher floors. By the way, the Observatory on the 26th floor was awesome.

Room Tip: Rooms higher up may help with the street noise at night.

We stayed at the Marriott Customs House while dropping my son off at Boston University. The hotel feels very intimate in the heart of a bustling city. The front desk staff was very helpful and welcoming. The villa's were very large..separate living room/kitchen area and a large king room. The building itself is beautiful..they converted the old Customs House to a hotel..so it doesn't have the feel of a traditional hotel. The architecture is beautiful. There is a small bar on the first floor with live music nightly. Although there is not a full service restaurant, there is a continental breakfast, but we ate across the street at the Irish Bar..wonderful! and they serve Guiness Bloody Mary's! The hotel is in walking distance to the North End where we at a great Italian dinner. I highly recommend this hotel.

I have wanted to experience this club since visiting Boston many years ago. My wife and I use points to stay here. We used Boston as base for our 5 New England Tour. We were greeted by friendly valet staff who gathered our luggage and watched the rental car even though we were not parking. The posted charge was $13.00 for 0-4 hours but there was no charge (I did tip). The lobby is nice! Very historic and old marble and granite. The front desk clerks were very friendly. Checkin was smooth and quick. Our room, 2301, was one the highest floor with rooms. We were pleased with this on late checkin. The clerks made good suggestions for dinner and provided directions. The entire stay was very helpful throughout our 3 day stay. The room is a small villa and oddly configure but should be expected for it's location in the building. It was Rey comfortable for two but would not recommend with children. The view was awesome giving us three sides of the city. Water pressure was good in the bathroom. Microwave and small frig were sufficient. The views from the 26th floor deck are dynamic. The club has a very modern fitness center. We watch a movie in a very comfortable 9 seat theater. Popcorn included. The location is great to Fanuel Hall, Quincy Marketplace, Boston Harbor and the Freedom Trail. I definitely recommend this property. Good stay.

What a great location for the Custom House. We had a villa on the first floor overlooking State street and it was as quiet as can be. The rooms were very stately, unlike any other Marriott hotels that we have stayed at. The building was impressive. We almost felt like we were staying at the White House. The amenities though were a bit lacking for a vacation rental. The small kitchen area was not conducive for families. It was also inconvenient being on the first floor and having to take two elevators to the 20th and 24 th floors for the game room and laundry facilities. But having said that, the laundry facilities were great and my kids had fun in the game room and then going up to the observation deck on the 26th floor. Awesome panoramic views of Boston.

Room Tip: Opt for a higher floor to be closer to the laundry, and game room. Although we heard from other fami...

A fabulous place with a great view, that once was the point of all collection of taxes by sea going vessels entering Boston! A place with a four sided clock tower that is visible from virtually all over! A must if you go to Boston!!!

Room Tip: Stay near the top!

The Custom House is awesome. A cool, historic building in a fab location in Boston. Close to the Long Wharf, the aquarium, Quincy Market, Fanueil Hall, the North End and business in the financial district. Can't ask for a better locale to see the sites and have good food. The hotel is also very near the Blue Line aquarium T stop for easily getting around the city.

The hotel itself is very nice. Rooms are large and clean, although the bathroom is a bit dated. Don't expect a soaking tub if you are in one of the one bedroom suites. There is a mini kitchenette with fridge and sink and the sitting/dining area is very nice. Great views from all rooms too.

Also, on site is a game room, laundry, 24-hour mini gym, activity room for kids, and a very cool outdoor observation deck where you can see most of the city and harbor.

Overall, this is a very nice place to stay, and very safe and secure. However, if you are on one of the lower floors, you can hear noise off the street - especially if you are on the Quincy Market side. We stayed on the 6th floor, and it was very loud Friday and Saturday nights. The noise from the bars and traffic kept me awake most of both nights. My advice would be to request a room on a higher floor.
