“Our Boston trip was amazing and the hotel stay was awesome!”
Reviewed September 6, 2010

My husband and I took a weekend trip to Boston this labor day weekend (2010). We had an amazing time in Boston. The Seaport Hotel was amazing from the awesome harbor view, great location to the T and great view of the city. The concierge was very friendly and helpful in telling us where to get great pizza and where to get on the T at. The pillows that were on our bed were made out of feather and we personally don't like feather pillows, but all we had to do was call down and new pillows were brought to us. We actually got to choose which type of pillow we wanted...the hotel had about 10 different types of pillows to choose from. The hotel also had free internet service which is an added bonus. The hotel is located right across from the T station which was extremely helpful and convenient to travel Boston. We will definitely visit Boston again and when we do, we will stay at the Seaport again. 5 stars in our book!

I loved the Seaport experience. In Boston for a conference at the World Trade Center, the location was obviously perfect. The accomodations made me wish my conference was longer. The fitness facility was great with all the standard aerobic exercise machines (treadmill, elliptical, etc) and a nice selection of weight machines and free weights along with exercise balls and mats and a great selection of classes available for a small fee. The Seaport offers a Pillow Library so you can choose the pillow that best suits you. The bed was so comfortable as it was, I never needed the "library". The room is nicely appointed with everything a traveler needs (including iron and ironing board, fridge, free wifi and Keurig coffee maker in each room). But the thing that makes the Seaport so marvelous is the service and attitude of the staff. To a person, every interaction I had with employees of the hotel (and the world trade center as well) was overwhelmingly positive. They were helpful, prompt, pleasant and extremely competent. The no tipping policy was a little difficult for me to follow given such great service.

We are very pleased to read this review as it highlights so many positive aspects of Seaport. Complimentary access to our health club, the unique pillow library, a service inclusive environment (no tipping) and most important, the luxurious sleep experience. Our greatest assets are the people that work here, who genuinely care about each guest and are sincere in their delivery of service. Thank you for recognizing them. We look forward to your return. Regards, James Carmody, Vice President and General Manager, Seaport Hotel Boston

I did not know what to expect when we booked this room and to my delight the view was fantastic. The photos on the site do a nice job of giving you an idea of what it is like but being there is so much better. Another pleasant surprise was the liveliness of the bar towards the end of the evening.

Great location - close to everything and beautiful facility. Here for a conference but would come back for pleasure.

Due to a cancelled boat trip with friends, we recently stayed at this hotel and were pleasantly surprised. Convenient to get to we were surprised by how vibrant the waterfront was (perhaps due to the summer weather but as longtime Boston-area residents, it was nice to see this area bustling). The staff we encountered really bent over backwards to help with requests or questions. We stayed in a Pure room, which had filtered air, and the room felt very fresh. We often travel with our own pillows but forgot them and just loved all of the pillow selections - we were able to use the kind we have at home! The concierge was very helpful with suggestions. She even got us extra special attention at one of the restaurants we visited. We had great breakfasts in the hotel. It was easy to walk everywhere. It wasn't the original vacation we had planned but we definitely enjoyed our stay!

Stayed at this hotel because it was the only hotel with rooms still available during ACS conference at Boston Convention & Expo Center.
What a nightmare!

Stay began by being "greeted" by unprofessional desk clerk. Hotel room was relatively clean, but wall heating unit didn't work -- it would only blow out cold air no matter how warm I set the thermostat. Let this go & dealt with cold evenings because I didn't want to have to deal with hotel staff.

Worst experience of all was when - after having "do not disturb" light on, I returned to room that evening to find that comforter I'd placed on the ground had been thrown back on the bed, my pajamas had been touched and folded on dirty comforter and, worst of all, my toothbrush was removed from glass holding it safely off counter and placed on a hotel towel (bristles and all touching it - gross!). Other toiletries had also been touched/moved around. Called the manager on duty and he forwarded call to security who did nothing but (30 minutes later!) send up someone with cheap disposable toothbrush.

Location was okay (~7 min walk from conference), rooms okay, parking was only ~$30-something/day, but rude, unprofessional staff made this stay a horrible experience.

Do yourself a favor and go anywhere BUT Seaport. If you're in the area for a convention, book your room early so you can get a decent hotel. You'll be happy you did.

This summer we stayed two different times at the Seaport Hotel. Both stays were great. Even though it is not near the main hub it was so easy to get around Boston on the T. The silver line is right next to the hotel. A car is not necessary in town! The hotel is immaculate with great service and friendly, professional staff. Will definitely make this our hotel to stay at when we go to Boston.
