We stayed here when we had to extend our New England trip due to the volcanic activity. This was one of the hotels which was provided and paid for by British Airways. I have to say what a treat it was to be staying in such a lovely hotel under the circumstances we found ourselves in.

The hotel is situated 3 miles from Logan airport and is within walking distance of the city centre. The immaculatley clean and unthreatening subway stop is a short walk from the hotel and can take you to Boston Common within minutes. Water taxis and ordinary taxis area also easily accessible close to the hotel.

The hotel stands proudly near the harbour and close to the Boston World Trade Centre. First impressions inside are positive, with the reception area being spacious, tidy and nicely decorated. A huge display of fresh flowers took centre stage in the reception, and modern artwork was on the walls. The reception staff were very friendly and hospitable, being especially sympathetic to our plight!!

Our 'deluxe-double' room on the 11th floor was spacious and very comfortable, having two double beds, a large flat-screen television, IPOD docking station and a Bose radio. Internet access was free and a computer was on a large work desk. The bathroom was adequately spacious and was stocked with towels and complimentary toiletries. Recycling bins were available in the room. The room was at the front of the hotel and had fantastic views of the harbour and the city centre.

Food was good at the Seaport - we ate there at breakfast, lunch and dinner during our three day stay and enjoyed tasty, freshly cooked food. The waitresses in the bar area were very professional, and we especially enjoyed breakfast as the waiters were incredibly funny and accommodating.

All in all we had an enjoyable stay at the Seaport Hotel and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Thank you to the volcano for allowing us the opportunity to experience the Seaport - had we gone home on time I feel we would have missed out!!!

From the moment we pulled up in front we were treated like special guests. Staff were professional and over helpful. Rooms equipped with everything you need. Bed was super comfortable. Just a nice place to stay

We arrived before the water main break and spent 3 nights. The hotel was not very accomodating with the bottled water -- housekeeping didn't replenish them or the coffee. The towels and robes were very stiff and scratchy. The computer screen wouldn't turn off and glowed all 3 nights.
View was lovely. We walked to the Quincy Market area and ate lunch there. Lots of people. Ate dinner at Pier 4 across the street -- wonderful seafood. Ate dinner next door at Mortons -- famous steakhouse. Third night we ate dinner at the Union Oyster House -- great seafood.

We stayed for 3 nights in the Seaport Hotel in April 2010. The hotel is easily reached from the airport via the silverline bus to the World Trade Center station. The bus costs $2 per adult and has plenty of space for luggage.
We stayed in a room with 2 double beds. The size and state of the room were very good. Amenties in the room included a safe, iron & ironing board, coffee maker and mini bar. We had no complaints whatsoever with the condition of the room and slept very comfortably each night. The hotel has a complimentary bus which runs to state street. We used the bus each day and never had to wait more than a few minutes.
The service from the concierge was very friendly and helpful.
We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant one morning and it was good, there were plenty of options available.
We enjoyed our stay in Boston very much, it is a great city with much to see and do and I would certainly recommend the Seaport Hotel.

I am amazed at reading some of these other reviews of the Seaport hotel in Boston. While it seemed to have potential to be an outstanding 5 star hotel , this must have been an off weekend.
The parking concierge was welcoming, helpful and efficient. Then we stepped through the doors and it all ended there.
I had prebooked using the online reservation system, so we had no problem that way.but the staff had an edge that day, and were not very welcoming nor helpful. we were not even told our room number! Had to look at the key and ask somebody in the Lobby where to find the elevator.
truly, we had our luggage, room paperwork and just stood there looking lost.
We booked a Harborview room and that was a true delight. Although the bed looked as if it had been sat upon several times after being made, we looked beyond that to great view of the Harbor.
We attended a dinner in the Lighthouse Room. The staff there were incredible. Polite, respectful, smiling, helpful, and presented the food and themselves and ultimately the Hotel in a very posivite reputable manner.
Then we returned to the room. This was the weekend of the Water Main break and Boston was under a BOIL Water ordinance. There was no signs nor information beyond a piece of paper slipped under our door that said we would be allowed to use the small bottles of water ($2.00 each) at no charge. 2 small bottles for drinking and brushing teeth . I started to worry about the water served at our meal and the ice in our drinks and the food prep.....but I tried to ignore this and gaze out the window at the wonderful view of Harbor lights.
There was a computer in the room. it apparently was broken as there were all types of warning windows and Low Battery alerts. But the dang thing would not turn off.....so we tried to sleep with a glaring monitor....then gave up and threw a towel over the whole thing.
we really didn't want to call maintenance at 2am.
we read the inroom information and were hoping to see a map of some sort. we did not know there was a pool..and when we found the Fitness room it was locked tight.
The lack of information regarding what ended up being a State of an Emergency, the lackadaisical attitude of the front desk staff, the "Surprise" extra charges and taxes and fees on our bill....all added to a less than favorable stay.
In all fairness i would try a stay there again. It is conveniently located. There are several places to dine near by, some great walking places and if you get the right room, that wonderful harbor view.

Service better than the best hotels in the world. Clean, great location, easy for conventions, overall great hotel. Rooms are a bit small, but all the ammenities to provide the needed things every business traveler needs. AND, not tips - no one would accept one. Super nice change of pace!

We just came home from a stay at the Seaport hotel and it was wonderful. Excellent staff, big rooms that were immaculate (bathrooms have Gilchrest and Soumes products) and a fantastic pool/spa. We would definitely stay here again. The location is slightly away form the main drag but its 7 minuts in a cab.
