I usually stay at another hotel in Cambridge and take the T into town, not anymore. The Seaport Hotel was fantastic. It is located 5 blocks or so from the Boston Childern's Museum and a short walk from the Aquarium and other attractions. The staff was fantastic and I have not had room service that was as quick, courteous and hot and delicious in a long time. My daughter had a great time in the pool and because it is a lap pool, I did not have to worry about the "deep end".
I did get a great rate through the hotel's special so I will be watching for that again!
Also, it is so easy to get to. Right off of I-93S - I had no problems with traffic or parking.
Overall - a great experience.

We recently stayed at the Seaport Hotel on the harbor near the convention center and world trade center in Boston. I had read the previous reviews in Trip Advisor and was a little concerned about the comments that it was too far away from everything. All my fears went away in very short order. Our room was an executive suite with amazing views over the piers and Boston Harbor. There were a number of restaurants nearby from casual to very upscale, and there is a silver line terminal literally across the street from the hotel.
One day we bought a day pass for the transit system and in minutes we were able to get anywhere in the city.
The hotel staff were very courteous, every amenity we needed was in the hotel room - including free wireless access and the cost was very competitive if not less than most other highly rated hotels.
In short, we would absolutely stay here again.

I booked this hotel for 2 nights as part of a longer Boston visit after joining the "I prefer "program and got not only a great rate but an upgrade to a really beautiful 2 room suite.I found the location on the Silver T line (2 mins walk away) convenient - the T is easy to use, frequent, cheap (buy the 7 day $15 unlimited pass) but you will need to make a few interchanges between the different lines to get to the main tourist sites from this hotel. On the other hand , South Station (for Amtrak and buses) and the Airport are very easy to get to from the hotel via the T.

The hotel itself is beautifully appointed with free internet and every comfort you could need in the room plus soundproofing so no door slamming or outside noise can be heard Staff were friendly and helpful- they actually have a knowledgeable concierge.

I ate at the on site restaurant for both breakfast and dinner and it was lovely.I am not sure about the no tipping policy they advertise as a compulsory service charge was added to all the meals- not much difference to a tip as far as I can see.The Boston ICA is 5 minutes walk away and is a must see for all Boson visitors- they have a free night (Thursday I think) but it is worth the cost of entry anyway.

In summary if you want a really nice hotel and need a change from the usual hotels in other more "touristy" parts of downtown Boston the Seaport Hotel is recommended.

I stayed at the Seaport Hotel because I ran in the Boston Half Marathon (Memorial Day weekend), and the starting line was just outside.
It's a typical large convention hotel. If you've got a function to attend at the Boston World Trade Center, or at the hotel (they seem to do a lot of weddings), then ok, you've got to stay there. But for touring Boston, this place is not where you want to be. Too far off on the periphery. The check-in is ok but impersonal. Room is satisfactory. Room service breakfast was ok but not worth the $35 (I had no choice that day, because I had to leave early to line up for the race). Bar was good, and they made an excellent gimlet.
Overall, don't come here if you are looking for a great Boston vacation/touring experience. Only stay here if you need to attend a function at the Trade Center.

Just came back from Seaport Hotel, where we spent the Memorial Day Weekend. Booked thru Priceline with a great price and couldn't be happier. Hotel is new, clean, great service, wireless with no extra fees, good restaurants in the hotel and also in walking distance. As others mentioned pretty close to the T line station, that we did not use since we prefered to walt to downtown (about 20 min to Boston Commons, for example). Room was very good - we had some issues with remote control and they replaced in 10 min. Also, kids can choose a gift in a treasure box... was a hit with my son!

This Hotel was absolutely perfect in everyway - clean, friendly staff, very beautiful, great amenities, comfortable beds. The view was breathtaking. The location was great - on the harbor, close to the T and Silver line bus, (which you should take advantage of going to and from airport in and only cost $2.00). My husband, daughter and son in law were there for the Boston Marathon and was very pleased with our selection. We will be there again in the future. You will definitely not be sorry that you chose this hotel and location. I do recommend the Trolley, whichever one you choose, i don't think you will regret it. Enjoyed the stay!!

If you're in Boston for an event at the World Trade Center or the Convention Center, the location can't be beat. There is a T stop right next to the hotel. There are a number of decent retaurants within walking distance. However, I did not feel like I experienced Boston staying at this hotel.
