My husband and I got married at the New England Aquarium and we used this hotel as our home base for everything. We had over 45 rooms in our wedding block. The hotel was very accommodating to us, but there are a lot of rooms that have scaffolding over them so they can be very dark. We had planned to get ready in the hotel room, and unfortunately, one of the suites we had booked was totally scaffolded over, so it was so incredible dark. In the morning we had to do a big switcheroo so the bridesmaids could get ready in a room that had more natural light. The hotel also had problems handing out the out of town bags, giving none to some guests and giving two to some guests.
On the upside, the room service is excellent. The cleaning service is even better. They did a tremendous job every day in our suite. The bellmen are phenomenal. We had so much stuff going up and going down, and they helped us every time.
The location could not be more perfect. We choose the hotel because it was within 5 minutes of the aquarium and within 5 minutes of everything else. The price was much more reasonable than any of the other surrounding hotels as well!

Room Tip: Ask for one that has no scaffolding.

My hubby and I just returned from visiting Boston for the first time. After talking to some friends and family we opted to stay in the Financial District and we chose the Hilton. The location is without a doubt, absolutely PERFECT if you do not mind walking or taking the subway. We even took the subway to and from the airport. These rooms are small, but clean. There really are not any views unless you have a room to the front of the hotel, but even at that, it would be just the street. We did not mind because we do not spend that much time on exploration type trips such as this one. We walked to the harbour, to North End, to the parks, the Paul Revere Trail, shopping, everywhere! PERFECT LOCATION! Very pleasant staff!

Stayed here recently on business after spending a few nights at the Westin Copley Plaza, so I can compare the two. The rooms at the Westin were far bigger and brighter than the Hilton. The Hilton is right downtown and surrounded by other tall buildings. I was on the 8th floor facing the other buildings and had zero view or light. It was dark in my room and there were only a few lamps scattered around, which made it hard to work. There was no addl chair or anything for me to put my bag on like at the Westin, so it was cramped as well. The bed at the Hilton was on par and the shower had more water pressure than the Westin.
The Hilton was noisier than the Westin and I was awakened daily by a family who went to breakfast at 6am.
I'd recommend this hotel to anyone going on business. I'd opt for a different location for pleasure.
I did not pay for or book the hotel, hence the omission on value rating.

Room Tip: Again, go up, particularly if you want more natural light. Rooms facing the 'courtyard' are...

It was a great property with ecellent clean rooms combined with a great location which allowed the capability of walking to many of Boston's city attractions, Quincy, The Wharf, North End all a short walk.
The property has very helpful employees, who are very attentive and knowledgable regarding their responsibilities.
The only complaint that I have with the place is that it can be hard to notice while looking for the property in a car, not a great standout sign or moniker normally seen on Hilton Properties and the bulding looks like many others in this financial district.

Walking distance from everything you are likely to want to see in a stop over tour, this hotel is a great introduction to Boston. Didn't eat there but plenty of good value meal options all around. As with most cities parking fees are racey at around 40 dollars per night but other than that a sound base to reach Quincy markets, harbour and the freedom trail.

this hotel was disappointing. The room was on the small side there was no easy chair to sit and read only a desk and chair there were two double beds and a chest of drawers with a large tv on top plus ensuite. the staff were wonderful especially the reception staff and the doormen. however the food and drinks were extremely expensive $6 for a latte. Superb area to stay close to everything. I was disappointed that the wi-fi was no free as it was in our homewood suites hotel this is also by Hilton, Lots of irish pubs in the area good food and entertainment.

Fantastic location and very friendly staff. They were handing us water bottles as we entered and exited. We lucked into a corner room so had a huge room. I do think it's crazy that the more inexpensive hotels have free wi-fi but you have to pay at the Hilton. We were at a Hampton Inn the night before and had free wi-fi and breakfast. To be fair, the coffee cups in the room were disposable at the Hampton.
