“Out of the way but worth the trip”
Reviewed February 23, 2014 via mobile

As previous reviewers stated this place is nothing fancy and the location isn't the greatest but the food is top notch.

“Fish - So Much to Choose From!”
Reviewed February 11, 2014

We like to pop in to the Yankee Lobster Market every now and then. The fish is, in a word, FRESH! The restaurant itself is small and a bit dark, kind of a dive. But the old photos on the wall tell the history of this family restaurant, the meals are delicious and very reasonably priced. Service is quick, too. A bit out of the way...but the parking is free and in Boston, that's a plus!

“Not fancy but just good”
Reviewed February 8, 2014 via mobile

I have tried several places close by and there are good and fancier, but also much pricier! This place is cozy and friendly and prices are fair.
I had a nice blackened tuna roll which came with fries and cole slaw. It was great and it filled me up just fine. Had a 24 ounce beer and walked out taxes and tip for under $30. For high quality food I was very happy.

“If you like Seafood, this is the place!”
Reviewed February 2, 2014

From the outside, and even from the inside, this place looks somewhat underwhelming. A true diner, drive-in and dive spot! The first thing I noticed was the variety of the menu. With tons of different options, I'm confident that almost any taste can be satisfied. I decided to partake in the warm lobster roll. It was excellent! I accompanied it with a nice bowl of their clam chowder and some of their home-made corn bread. Everything I ate was excellent, and surpassed my expectations.

Things to keep in mind:
-This is not a formal dinner setting. It's absolutely perfect for a quick meal with friends. You could probably even take the food to go for nearby boardwalks and enjoy it outside if the weather is nice.

-The prices are market value for fresh seafood. This means somewhat pricy. Yes it is an informal setting, but you're paying for quality and fresh seafood that is more costly than your typical Long John Silvers (there is no comparison with LJS... haha). I only gave it 2 dollar signs because you'll spend less on the gratuity than you would a full-service restaurant. However, the average cost/plate is going to be upwards of 25 dollars for lobster dishes and 8-15 dollars for the other entree options.

Overall, I would say this place is worth going out of your way to check out! I promise, you'll love it!

“Great place to have it all!!! Seafood that is..”
Reviewed February 1, 2014

Went with a few friends to Yankee Lobster and had a blast. It's just a small restaurant and when you see the menu you will want everything. I started with Lobster Bisque (killer), then steamed clams again excellent and to top it off a 1.5 pd lobster with fries and a bib and of course a beer to top it off. I'm headed back to Boston next month and will go again.
