Nice hotel, nice room - nice exercise equipment - small pool - gorgeous view - only one restaurant and it is ridiculously expensive, especially breakfast. The buffet is $25!!!!!!!!!!!!! Imagine a family of 4 spending ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS on breakfast alone!? If you order off the menu PANCAKES will cost you $17!!! We got a bagel for $5 (cheapest thing) and even had to go get it and toast it ourselves for that price. Trouble is there is nothing else nearby but you could take the water taxi for $10 and walk to a lot of different types of places and get something cheap for less than eating there. Dinner for 4 with only 2 alcohol drinks and one ordering off children’s menu was $137 (we did get dessert). Again, cheaper to take the water taxi which is RIGHT next door and walk somewhere. I have to say though that the view was GORGEOUS (watched the sunset over the city skyline and harbor during dinner). Also, parking was $30 just for one night and internet was $10 each day.

HyattHarborside, Management at Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor, responded to this reviewResponded August 17, 2009

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel! Should your travels lead you back to Boston, Hyatt Harborside does offer Family packages which include discounts on rooms and dining! Our children's buffet in our Harborside grill is also half price for children under the age of 12, and we offer our children's menu which is lower in price available for breakfast, lunch and dinner items. Our parking rates may seem high, however we are extremely competitive with our rates within the city of Boston and other airport hotels. We always appreciate constructive feedback, and hope to welcome you back to the Hyatt Harborside again in the future!
Thank you,
Hotel Management

Booked this on Hotwire hoping ot get Hilton but didn't. Still good hotel and great price £60 per night. Food on high side, so ate on Boston, no worries there though. Next day stay ensured all our luggage went to Hilton so well done to all.

Stayed here when I missed my flight back to Ft. Lauderdale on a Friday night. I had stayed at the Logan Hilton the previous week and was much more pleased with it. On my way back from Cambridge at about midnight the airport shuttle took close to a half hour to arrive after I called it when it should have taken, “15 minutes or less,” per the front desk. The Hilton’s shuttle was much more prompt. Overall the rooms were clean but the rooms at the Hilton had a newer feel. The Hilton was a better value at around $130 vs. $200+ - I would have gladly paid the higher price for the Hilton but it was sold out.

Stayed at hyatt at end of a trip to make an early flight out in the morning. Took t out to airport from our other hotel in copley. Was picked up in a timely manner and the shuttle driver was extremely friendly. He even apologized for the 15 minute wait saying we were on the end of the rounds. It was no problem at all.

Even though got the room on priceline, front desk gave us a harborview room when I asked. My son thought this room beat our copley room because you couldn't even see the ground, just water. It was beautiful! Flat screen t.v., ihome as website describes. The unique thing was a huge bathroom with nice shelving in it where they stay the amenities. It's a nice perk that hyatt includes toothpaste as one of their amenities.

In the morning, the shuttle was downstairs for someone else so we didn't have to call. Took about 5 minutes to get to airport. Again, super friendly driver.

We were tempted to take the handy ride across harbor and see quincy market, but were too tired from our long trip at that point. We ate at the restaurant which was a bit pricey and had limited options for kids. However, I got back to the room to notice that room service menu had pizzas that were reasonable. I probably would have done that. The restaurant was very nice though as it had floor to ceiling windows overlooking the water. Definitely a good romantic venue.

There are no nearby options for food. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again on the end of a trip. It is probably even a decent choice if you wanted to make day trips to other towns near boston. If I was with small kids for a short visit to boston, I'd consider this hotel for its easy access to the acquarium and the U.S.S. Constitution. However, stop at a cvs while in town and pick up snacks since no convenience store in hotel.
