As someone who is obsessed with history, I knew I wanted to stay in a place with real historic charm. Most hotel chains are dull and lack excitement in their decor. Revere Hotel was a bit out of my price range, but my friend and I decided to splurge for our birthdays. Boy am I glad we did! It's amazing what the decor can do to excite you about a hotel stay. From the paintings to the light fixtures in the rooms, as well as the awesome custom pieces in the lobby and restaurant downstairs, we were very impressed by how "Boston" this felt. Check in was smooth, the lobby smelled amazing (they pump a light fragrance in the air system down there which was light but refreshing). Beds were comfy and a great location in Boston. Our only complaint was that our shower had 2 shower heads and 4 handles. We couldn't tell which was for temp and which to change pressure. It was scalding hot and we were frustrated. This isn't the case for every room though,as our friends had one shower head and one handle with no issue.
The woman at concierge (so sorry I forgot her name) was very helpful! My bf and my best friends bf wanted to book us girls a spa session and she was able to point them in the right direction. (If you show your Revere hotel card you get $25 off at Exhale nearby, at least for our massage we did!)
Upon entering our room, there was a little dessert and a sparkling champagne bottle waiting for me. They truly made my visit wonderful, the views from our balcony were awesome. Pool looked great and I will hopefully be back for the rooftop bar once it's warmer! Despite our dislike for the shower, every other bit of our experience makes us want to come back!
