Rooms are large for downtown Boston and finding a room with two queens is somewhat rare, so this was a perfect choice for our family of four. The location is great. Near several T stations, many excellent restaurants, in the theater district, only a block from Boston Common, and not far from many historic sites. Hotel was clean. Beds were very good - excellent pillows and high quality mattresses. Nice bathroom amenities. Staff was very friendly, but less knowledgeable about the area then I would have expected. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Boston.

Stayed 2nights end of March. Enjoyed the room and it's facilities. Reception was a disappointment due to miserable staff not very friendly. Breakfast very expensive at $22. Well located for Boston Common and Cheers bar. Restaurants better in the North area, a taxi ride away. Trolley tour stops outside the hotel which is very handy. Would stay there again.

Room Tip: 20th floor was very quiet with great views from balcony.

Dear Ken A -

Thank you for reviewing your experience at Revere Hotel Boston. I'm delighted you had an overall good experience and will return to see us again in the future.

Thank you for pointing out your disappointment reception experience. We use Trip Advisor and all social media as training tools to correct problems and address training needs. Great location, room, pool, staff, view and price at the Revere added up to a fantastic stay for our family during a week-long trip to Boston. It's tough to imagine another hotel in Boston offering this combo of quality, place and value. Many big-city hotels come with major compromises--e.g., gorgeous lobby but teeny-tiny rooms; or a big brand name with indifferent staff. At the Revere, you get the complete package from start to finish--friendly and well-trained staff (including front desk, concierge, housekeeping and maintenance); a surprisingly spacious room (by big-city standards), comfortable beds, linens and nicely oversized bath towels; and a large, just-right-temp indoor pool--all wrapped in an attractive and nicely finished decor.

On the elevator, a staff member said the hotel's owner had spent more than $25 million on renovations, and the effort shows--you won't think you're at a former Radisson. The location is within easy walking distance of a wide variety of restaurants, Boston Common, and T stops for the Green and Orange lines.

Only critiques: wish the room came with a mini-fridge (our balcony subbed as a fridge during our cold-week stay); the 4 main elevator banks can become VERY busy when the hotel is at capacity, in part because there's no separate elevator bank for staff; and the hotel's lobby, while chic, attractive and moodily lit like a modern-art museum, doesn't really invite guests to linger. There are only about 6 soft-surface chairs in the lobby. That's in contrast to the current/future trend in hotel lobbies (as recently reported in the Wall Street Journal) that have remodeled themselves as oases for travelers who don't wish to hole up in their rooms or walk down the street to Panera for a coffee, comfy chair and WiFi connection.

Room Tip: Upper floor and away from elevator bank will likely provide a quieter room with a better view than o...

Dear Sean M -

Thank you for kind and generous review - we are delighted that you had such a wonderful stay.

With regard to the fridge, we have 2 full floors of rooms with mini-fridges. You can either book one when you book your room, they are Deluxe category between 17th and 21st Floors, or you can request a fridge in your reservation and we will upgrade IF space is available on that day.

We hope to welcome you back very soon.

This place is beautiful! The lobby is modern and sleek and the rooms are comfy and accommodating. The view is unbeatable and it's in the perfect spot. When we arrived, we were welcomed with champagne and a smiling face. Tim M. went above and beyond to make sure our stay was exceptional by helping us with our luggage, offering directions and transportation, and recommending a great place to eat. We have stayed here a few times before, but this trip really stood out to is because of the great service that Tim provided. We will definitely be coming back next time!

The lobby is beautiful, especially the complimentary champagne upon check!! Got an upgrade when checked in too :) The lounge/bar was awesome and everyone was incredibly helpful. The staff was friendly (which is few and far between in Boston) kind and went above and beyond, Our waitress at Emerald didn't know where the theater was, but got someone to help us that did. Very pleasant surprise.

Room Tip: We were on the top floor - go for it if you can!!

I was here with a bunch of friends checking out Boston and checked in to the Revere Hotel. The hotel lobby was quite nice and the staff were helpful. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived but knew we were a bit early (however check in at 4 seems a bit ridiculous). None the less they were happy to take our bags and keep them safe until it was ready–since we already had friends that had rooms ready we just threw our bags in there. The hotel is in a good spot, a 15 minute walk to some great areas as well as Boston Commons. The rooms were adequate, nothing special but had a balcony which was a nice touch. It was raining quite a bit but I imagine a chair or lounger out there would be a nice touch since there wasn't much, perhaps this happens in the warmer weather. Some of the things in the room were a little outdated for a hotel that presents itself modern but for the most part was an alright stay.

The one thing that that you should know, is this hotel is loud. The sound proofing isn't even close to what it should be. I could hear conversations, people walking around in the room above and music blaring 3 rooms down so well I could hear the lyrics. if people are talking near the elevator we could hear that as well and we were about 4 rooms from the elevators! This would likely stop me from returning to this hotel. I called down to front desk and they promptly sent someone up to take care of people blaring and smoking in their rooms. Also the pool was extremely bland, nothing special at all. However, the deck looked like it would be great in the summer time.

The concierge were great at what they do and guided us to a good area as well as food. If you're looking for an awesome brunch spot, check out the Saturday Pyjama Party at 647!

One last general tip, some restaurants who ID will sometimes require passport ID and not take a drivers license if you're not American. I have no idea why they do this as a license is government issued but apparently it's an MA law.

Room Tip: Make sure you're ok with low sound proofing. This is more of a crash pad than a quiet hotel.

Dear Kyle -

Thank you for taking the time to post your experience and thank you for all your kind comments about our staff, location and concierge services.

I would like to apologize for your dissatisfaction with noise. This is a building that was built in the 60's and for the most part, is very quiet. Unfortunately, on Saturday nights when you add the human-factor along with Saturday night, it can be a challenge when your neighbors are in club mode when you are ready for bed. I'm glad to hear our security department was quick to respond and take care of the noise but very sorry you had to register a call in the first place.

I hope we are able to welcome you back soon.

This rehabbed former Radisson has the wow factor you expect from an urban hotel. Complimentary sparkling wine is offered to you at check in by friendly staff. You will find very chic and cool decorative touches throughout the hotel. Despite our room having a standard hotel room skeleton, it had a boutique hotel feel thanks to it's interior design. We loved having a balcony with a nice city view. An in room refrigerator would have helped, but we weren't in our room long enough for this to be an issue. The hotel has a decent indoor pool surrounded by glass with doors that open to what might be a nice sundeck in the right season. For dinner this hotel is partnered with a growing Italian restaurant, Rustic Kitchen. This is their home base and they film a cooking show on Friday nights, but it looks like tickets need to be purchased fairly far in advance. If rushing to a show and you need to eat quickly, you can find a food court with a variety of fast food options diagonally across the street in City Place on Stuart Street. Parking seemed expensive at $40 for a one night stay, but with a prime city location we were expecting to pay something. We were able to check out from our room and enjoy the city before needing to free our car from the garage by 7pm at which point we would have had to pay more to park.
