On a sightseeing trip to Boston this hotel location wise was perfect.... However considering its price I'm not sure it was totally worth the price (+$400 per night) ??
On arriving into the hotel... It not your typical reception area that is warm and inviting...instead u enter via the carport and arrive into a marble maze. Nothing homely or cosy about it...just cold and clinical. Now check in was efficient and the glass of champagne a nice touch but I think we would have preferred a replacement small bottle of water each day. There was one in room upon arrival but it was never replaced after use. We were told we could bring our champagne to our room however the dirty empty glasses sat there then for the 5 day duration of our stay!!!!???
Also there was only one bathrobe in our room and we asked for a second one but it never arrived.
The rooms were "cleaned" each day as you'd expect at such rates but they were barely cleaned...the coffee making area wasn't even wiped down although the coffee was replenished, the bathroom floor wasn't swept properly although the towels ( even though we hung them up to indicate were ok) were replaced...except the face towels were forgotten!!!
However the room was of a good size and AC is provided but wasn't needed at this time. It was nice to have a balcony and a view of the Hancock tower. Wifi was also provided for 'free'!!
As mentioned in other posts the plumbing is rather noisy and the lifts very slow (4 lifts for 24 floors each with 30+ rooms)
The pool didn't have shower areas or changing rooms, and the emerald bar lacked atmosphere n charm. The restaurant could be reached by crossing the carport was ok, but breakfast not included in the price was grossly over priced and of a poor standard. However the rustic kitchen ( also thru' the carport ) was cosy n the food and service was ok!
Overall we were happy to be in Boston and the hotel location was great, so nothing would have ruined our trip...however on a value and service level I don't think I will be returning to the Revere.

My second stay in this hotel this year. My first experience was not too bad but this time I did have few complaints. The plumbing was very noisy, not only in my room but in surrounding rooms. You could hear the loo flush in the room above every time !! Also the lifts were very slow, a wait of almost 5 minutes was not unusual. The location of the hotel is great if you want to sightsee Boston, but be prepared to most certainly pay for it !! I will certainly look for other accommodation for my next visit. A disappointment really because after my first visit I thought that I had found a good hotel for my regular visits to Boston. Not really good value for money.

Room Tip: Avoid any rooms near the lift shafts.

Very warm welcome and efficient staff. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Great location with good restaurants and shopping nearby. Was pricey $400+ because of Head of the Charles weekend but had a wonderful stay.

We stayed one night here and had a very nice experience. The hotel is beautiful and clean and in a nice location, just around the corner from the gardens. My only complaint is that while the staff are open to and friendly toward children, the hotel and restaurant made it a bit difficult. There were a bunch of wires exposed, and quite a few knobs and levers in the shower within easy reach of our 10-month old. We could not find an elevator to get into the restaurant and with a stroller it's an inconvenience. If it hadn't been raining causing us to stay inside, I'm sure we wouldn't have noticed these things. All in all, a lovely place, great service.

The hotel is in an old structure which has been updated with fairly nice appointments. It is a good hotel for 225/night and not a good hotel for 300/night. The lobby is nice but really limited in size.

Room Tip: Nothing special but very good beds and a good bathtub type shower

From the warm welcome at arrival- expecially to my dog, and the champaigne at check in, the Hotel Revere exceeded my expectations! The rooms are beautifully done, in warm and relaxing tones, and with plenty of space. Great location- I walked everywhere. Great respite from the city, with an intoxicating lobby scent, that made you take a deep breath and feel great to be "home". Special thanks to Tim and Justin, who were so gracious, along with the VIP Relations Manager Jenni(loved the treat).
We will definitely recommend the Revere, and will come back!

To put this review into perspective, we had spent the previous night at the Park Plaza Hotel, very close to Revere. Both are located in a prime area of Boston, near subway, Boston Common, Boston Garden. Revere is modern, clean and more upscale than the Park Plaza, but may be on a higher price scale, so do your research first. Our room was on the 19th floor and had a great view of Boston city. We will be staying here again, and we look forward to it!
