“Luxury Hotel right off Boston Commons”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 16, 2013

This hotel is out of my usual price range, but traveling OPM (Other People's Money) on business, it was a real delight. It's quite luxurious, with an ultra-comfortable room, large bath with huge towels, your own robe, slippers, etc. Service was friendly and helpful. Amenities too many to take advantage of on a three day conference. Location is perfect, fairly close to two subway entrances, lots of restaurants, high-end and chains, close by.
This is not particularly high-end lux or expensive by downtown Boston standards. It has been renovated about a year ago, and everything is just beautiful. If this is your kind of place, I can recommend it highly.

As soon as we pulled into the hotel parking area we were greeted by very polite staff. After the car was parked we checked in and was offered a glass of champagne. The lobby had a lovely smell of what I thought was verbena. The check in was very quick and the staff was very courteous.
The room was simply beautiful. Very nicely decorated and had everything you would ever need. We had a balcony overlooking the Back Bay. What a site both in the day and in the night. Five minutes after we were in our room the front desk called and asked if everything was satisfactory. It couldn't be nicer. I would recommend this hotel.

The front desk staff and concierge were great. We were expecting much more with this being a "boutique" hotel. When we arrived, a champagne glass from previous guest was outside our room. I entered and found a piece of dental floss on the bathroom floor. First impressions did not meet our expectations. The hotel seems "old" . We would not stay here again.

We arrived after a 12 hour drive and were welcomed warmly by Justin, Jenna and Joe - the three J's - with glasses of prosecco...a delight! They are a marvelous front desk team! Our room was excellent: clean, faced east with a balcony and nice view. The location of the Revere is very central and has a "Hop on/Hop off "bus right at the front door. Very handy. After a couple of days of lots of walking, one of us developed a very sore knee which required lots of ice...large bags of ice were always supplied quickly and with a smile whenever needed. The staff who helped us in various areas was outstanding - great thanks to, of course, Justin, Jenna, Joe and Moise, Alex, Juana, Cameron and Simon, a brand new manager! We believe 95% of the success of a hotel is the attitude of the staff...other hotels should take note! Thanks to everyone for a great 5-day stay...oh yes, the pool lounge area on the roof was lovely!

My wife and I and some friends spent the May 30th - June 2nd weekend at the Revere. This was a first class experience from the moment we arrived. They had a glass of champagne in our hands before they even checked us in and our room was ready to go even though we had flown into Boston on the red eye and arrived at the hotel earlier than usual. The Revere has obviously spent a lot of time and consideration in their design which showed in the modern touches and interesting art that is evident throughout the hotel.
The concierge staff were exceptional! None of our group had visited Boston previously but thanks to the efforts of Richard and John we still managed to get a table at the best spots in town. Don't miss spending some time at Revere's rooftop pool lounge which was an amazing spot to hang out for a drink before dinner or spend an afternoon in the sunshine drinking their custom mohito creations. The in-house Emerald Lounge has got to be one of the places to be in Boston. We came home early one night only to end up staying up till the wee hours dancing and drinking in the lounge.
Don't hesitate. This is the only place to stay in Boston.

Room Tip: There are great views from both sides of the hotel but try for a room looking south west.

We stayed at Rever Hotel last September and had a wonderful experience. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It was easily accessible with the stroller. The rooms are very modern, clean, great views, included two balconies. It felt more like home than a hotel. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the lounging area accessible from the pool room. Just a great experience overall, would highly recommend this hotel and looking forward to coming back again this summer!

So this review might not be totally objective, since my stay at the Revere came on the heels of two weeks in no-frills, yet expensive, Scandanavian hotels. The Revere was a welcome change - my room was on the top floor and was huge, with a balcony overlooking city/harbor side (I had reserved a standard King, but maybe it was an upgrade?). The bathroom was large and had great toiletries, the bed was very comfortable, and the room was quiet. The only negative I can think of was that the water pressure was only so-so (but it wasn't that bad). The staff was also very gracious - I think of New Englanders as reserved and a little gruff, but everyone, from the valet to the front desk to the managers who randomly introduced themselves and asked if I needed anything, were very friendly. I had a conference rate, so it was also under $200/night, which for the quality and location, was a great value.
