We chose the Revere hotel in Boston as a Christmas gift to our children and grandchildren.(7 of us) We made our reservation several weeks ago and aked to stay on the 24th floor because of the reviews describing the great views. I also asked for a room with a sleep number bed but was told the highest floor with a sleep number bed was the 19th floor and booked us for that floor.. When we arrived we were told there was only 1 room on the 19th floor because the other was a hyperallergenic room and required special attention. I was upset and asked why I wasnt told that at time of reservation. He said he would work something out and call us when the other room was ready. We waited 1/2 hour for our room. The sleep number beds were not connected. We called the front desk they sent up an engineer he connected the beds but one of them did not work. I complained to the front desk that evening but it was so late I told them not to bother coming up again. My husbands side of the bed never worked. Also the wait time for the elevators was at least 10 minutes or more as stated in the reviews on trip advisor. If you are hoping for a hotel decorated for Christmas you will be disappointed. It was very cold and unwelcoming for this time of year. The hotel staff was friendly especially Sarge the concierge. The hotel was conveniently located. We walked to the Wang (Citi)theatre, the common, and the children ice skated at Frog pond and loved it.. .There are a lot of great restaurants nearby. We wanted to eat at the Rustic Kitchen in the hotel but it was full. If you are planning to eat there make a reservation especially on a Saturday. the food is good.We did eat at the Rock bottom, great place for children also. A litttle loud but good food. We would not stay at this hotel again. There are so many other choices.that are more traditional. The lobby was very cold and unwelcoming. They did offer champagne at check in which was a nice touch. and kids loved the pool. .
