“disappointed”
Reviewed December 10, 2012

We chose the Revere hotel in Boston as a Christmas gift to our children and grandchildren.(7 of us) We made our reservation several weeks ago and aked to stay on the 24th floor because of the reviews describing the great views. I also asked for a room with a sleep number bed but was told the highest floor with a sleep number bed was the 19th floor and booked us for that floor.. When we arrived we were told there was only 1 room on the 19th floor because the other was a hyperallergenic room and required special attention. I was upset and asked why I wasnt told that at time of reservation. He said he would work something out and call us when the other room was ready. We waited 1/2 hour for our room. The sleep number beds were not connected. We called the front desk they sent up an engineer he connected the beds but one of them did not work. I complained to the front desk that evening but it was so late I told them not to bother coming up again. My husbands side of the bed never worked. Also the wait time for the elevators was at least 10 minutes or more as stated in the reviews on trip advisor. If you are hoping for a hotel decorated for Christmas you will be disappointed. It was very cold and unwelcoming for this time of year. The hotel staff was friendly especially Sarge the concierge. The hotel was conveniently located. We walked to the Wang (Citi)theatre, the common, and the children ice skated at Frog pond and loved it.. .There are a lot of great restaurants nearby. We wanted to eat at the Rustic Kitchen in the hotel but it was full. If you are planning to eat there make a reservation especially on a Saturday. the food is good.We did eat at the Rock bottom, great place for children also. A litttle loud but good food. We would not stay at this hotel again. There are so many other choices.that are more traditional. The lobby was very cold and unwelcoming. They did offer champagne at check in which was a nice touch. and kids loved the pool. .

Room Tip: Top floor for best views, family breakfast pkg. included the buffet breakfast and parking.

What a great hotel.. The unexpected glass of champagne, the extremely smooth check in, incredible view from my room, the bed was very comfy. A night of luxury for a very good price. I will definitely recommend this hotel to any and all..

I stayed at the Revere Hotel on December 8th. We had come to the city to celebrate a birthday and this was a great location for that.
From the moment I walked in I realized the hotel is much nicer than the Radisson that was here before. The renovations are very noticeable, and everything seems much more up to date. Check in was quick, easy, and the complimentary champagne is always a plus! Man at the front desk who checked us in was very friendly, and attentive. Explained the restaurant and lounge, where the pool and gym was, etc.

The rooms are average sized, but what makes this hotel stand out is the fact that you have a balcony. Had a great view of the Theater District from the 15th floor! There was some street noise at night, so if you are a light sleeper the higher floors may suit you better. The bathroom is also nicely sized with a tub. If I had one complaint about the room it was that there was a very noticeable stain on the chair. Other than that, very clean and modern.

The one issue I experienced was room service. We called down around 9am and didn't receive our food for about 90 minutes. They apologized and said they were having elevator issues, so the food arrived cold. When I brought this up to Della at the front desk she was very apologetic and did solve the problem for us. I felt like she did care and helped us out with our issue.

Thanks Della and the rest of the staff at The Revere Hotel, the location and your service will bring me back here again.

Room Tip: Higher is better, less street noise.

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by our recent stay The Revere Boston Common. The customer service from Kylee was exceptional. She made sure we had rooms next to our friends, we were offered complimentary snacks and even a glass of champagne upon our arrival. The rooms were clean, comfortable and you are even offered a choice on the type of pillow you prefer. It is within walking distance to most area attractions and restaurants. Can't wait to go back.

Thank you for choosing the Revere Hotel Boston Common. We are delighted to hear you had such a pleasant experience. Kylee is a true asset to our front desk cast and I will make sure to recognize her for her outstanding work in making your experience authentic. I am also happy to hear you enjoyed our pillow menu. Our most popular is the “Snore” pillow giving their partners a blissful sleep. We look forward to your return in the future.

We stayed a night in the Revere Hotel in Boston in late November 2012. The hotel was located right next to a parking garage and lots of resturants to choose from in the area. The room was clean and resonably priced for Boston. We had an issue with the tv in the room. We called maintenance and it was fixed quickly. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet. We had stayed in this hotel before it changed hands and found the new decor to be nice but a bit too "New Age" for our liking. We would stay again:)

Thank you for choosing the Revere Hotel Boston Common. I am happy you enjoyed our central location as well as the guestrooms. Next time you stay with us, make sure to stop by Emerald Lounge for a craft cocktail. The Blueberry Vojito is my personal favorite!

Stayed in a double double bedroom for 4 while traveling with family. Boston seemed to be a hard place to get a reasonably priced hotel room, and this was good for the price. The rooms are large and spacious - with a nice view of the city. Everything looks really clean, new and contemporary. The lobby has some cool artwork, the concierge had some good recommendations of seafood restaurants readily available, and were happy to make reservations. There is a good selection of restaurants around, and most of the city and sights downtown are reachable by foot. We especially liked the iPhone dockingstation and speakers in the room, and the fact that there was free wifi. Would stay again.

Room Tip: Staying on the higher floors provides a nice view of the city.

My wife and I take a long weekend trip to Boston each fall. We had stayed at this hotel when it was a Radisson and wanted to try it again under its new name. Overall, we find it to be an excellent choice when in Boston. We like the central location and the fact that the hotel has its own parking garage with self parking, if desired (we had unlimited entry/exit during our stay); I am not a big fan of turning my car over to a valet. Boston is a great walking city and the hotel's location allows easy walking to the North End, Newberry Street, Boston Commons, Prudential Center, Copley Place, etc. For those who are not walkers, the Arlington stop on the subway is about two blocks away. The hotel has undergone a nice refurbishment which we both enjoyed as we both like modern/contemporary decor. The front desk staff seems exceptional and we received a warm and personal greeting; much nicer than the "canned" greeting at many hotels. They made us feel that they were at our service should we need them. We had a Premier king room on the 23rd floor with a great view over the city. The bathrooms are still small, but certainly adequate. All of the room amenities were very nice including the furnishings, bathrobes and the varieties of soap, shampoo and conditioners both in the shower and at the sink (which are in pump bottles). The hotel is in an area of more upscale hotels and you can certainly spend more to stay at, for example, the Four Seasons, but the Revere offers very nice accommodations at a more reasonable rate. Since we are out and about in Boston each day enjoying what the city has to offer, we want a hotel that has new/modern furnishings and amenities, is reasonably upscale but does not need to be "over the top" and has a courteous/helpful staff and the Revere meets our needs perfectly. There are a number of restaurants in the block or two around the Revere, most of which are more upscale chain restaurants, such as Flemings and Legal Seafood. We did have some problems maintaining access to the internet using the hotels WI-FI and my smart phone (it was on and off); I ended up just using Verizon for internet access. We did not use the concierge as we had our own daily plans. We would certainly stay here again on our next Boston visit.

Room Tip: I believe the Premier King rooms (on the upper floors) offer a nice view of the city.
