My two friends and I stayed at this hotel for one night as part of a surprise birthday trip for my friend's 30th. After browsing the many hotels Boston has to offer, I chose the Omni Parker House mainly for it's location and price. We chose to pay the 21-day advance purchase price and believe we paid $210 for the night. We had a two double bed room on the 6th floor.

We made excellent time driving up in the morning from Philadelphia and arrived at the city earlier than expected. Around 11am, we pulled over at a rest stop and called the hotel to inquire about early an check-in. The friendly receptionist informed us that while our room was not ready, we could still check-in to another room, but we would not get a room with a view. She told us our other option would be to come and check-in, store our bags and then come back when our room was ready. We decided to stop at Fenway Park (awesome) first and wait to check-in to the hotel. We still ended up getting to the hotel earlier than stated check-in time, but our room was ready.

The very friendly staff checked us in and stored our car. We used the valet parking, which cost us $40. We had to pick it up by 1pm the following day, but we decided to pay the $12 fee for keeping it there longer while we did our final tour of the city after we checked out. We found our room perfect for our needs, and we were very excited that we held out for our room with a view. Our room's view was of School Street and Old City Hall. It was fun for us to look out our window and see the hustle and bustle of the busy city around us. The central location of this hotel to the touristy areas of downtown was my favorite thing about it. The walk to Faneuil Hall took less than 15 minutes. We took a trolley tour on Sunday and were amused that the Omni Parker House was one of the attractions, although our tour guide informed us we were "doomed" since the hotel was said to be haunted! :) Make sure you stop by the front desk for a print-out of the alleged ghost stories!

The room itself was quaint, not small. Three women had no problem getting ready for a night out in the room, which I think says a lot! Our room had two double beds, a lounge chair a desk and a mini-bar with a nice flat screen on it. The bathroom was clean and again, large enough to accommodate our needs. We didn't hear any of our neighbors the whole time we were there and we hope they didn't hear us either! The air conditioner worked great and we cranked it up and were welcomed to a frosty room everytime we came back from our sightseeing. The beds were very comfortable with soft, clean linens and blankets.

The lobby of this hotel was beautiful. My friends bought some fun stuff at the gift shop and although we were too exhausted to try it out, The Last Hurrah bar seemed like a great spot to unwind and hang out with friends. The elevators were easily accessible, except for Sunday's check-out time, but that's to be expected. We just hoofed it down the stairwell with our bags because we didn't feel like waiting. The elevators and hallways were very warm, but I'll take the warmth to stay in a hotel of this historical value. All the staff were very helpful accommodating our varied needs and everyone was very friendly.

I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to be in the heart of the city. All you have to do is walk out the front doors of the hotel to be in the midst of our nation's history, and it's great to stay in a hotel that is part of that!

My husband and I stayed at the Parker House on a 10 day leisure trip to Boston.

We did extensive research and comparisons of various rates, and ended up booking our stay through the Boston's Visitors Bureau. The rate for the room we wanted, a suite with a king bed, was better than the quotes we were getting at the various 'discount' booking sites. Add in our AAA discount and the rate fell below the quoted rates from the 'discount' booking sites for the Traditional rooms, which are much smaller and only have a full sized bed. In addition we received a discount card and coupons for many attractions throughout Boston for booking through the VB.

The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The Bellhop who carried our luggage to our room when we arrived was extremely friendly. Every day he would stop and ask us how our vacation was going and would give us great local places to visit that weren't on the 'tourist' list. The hotel was very clean and our room was beautiful. The suite was very comfortable and not tight in space. We did not feel cramped at all. It is an old building so don't expect huge expansive guest rooms, the rooms are very traditional to the period of the hotel. The hotel in whole is stunning, decorated to the opulence that was at the period it was built. They did a wonderful job in preserving the hotels ambience.

We couldn't have asked for a better location. We were in walking distance to so many different sites and locations. We were also close to a 'T' (Boston's subway system) station which allowed us to venture farther than our feet could carry us.

We honestly do not have any complaints about our stay at the Parker House. We are planning a family trip, this time bring the children with us since they are now a bit older, and we will definitely be staying at the Parker House again!!

My wife and I stayed a night in Boston and were able to walk to the Harbor and Fanueil Hall during the day, then walk to the North End for dinner. The Commons are on the other side we didn't even get to. The hotel has very nice and luxurious restaurants, lounges and lobby. The rooms are nice also, but a bit tight. Our bed was also pretty small. But I don't think you can beat the price. Parking is a problem, expensive and no way to get to the car.. but that is all part of being in the city.

Stayed at the Omni Parker House June 26-28, 2009. What a beautiful hotel! We received a very nice email prior to arriving from Kate, their Loyalty Ambassador welcoming us and if we needed anything to just let her. know. We had requested an early check-in but unfortunately is was too busy and our room wasn't ready until 3:00. Which was fine. They knew it was our anniversary and later that evening, we received a complimentary bottle of champagne and some chocolate covered strawberries along with a nice card from Kate. And if you're a member of their loyalty program, you get some nice perks. We received a bottle of Evian water and maid service in the afternoon. Our room was always clean. The bed was unbelievably comfortable! The staff was excellent!! Location was prime - within walking distance of most major attractions like Quincy Market, Boston Public Gardens/Commons, Fanueil Hall and Downtown Crossing. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here. Definately worth the price!

The Omni Parker House in Boston is a wonderful old hotel right on the Freedom Trail in Boston. The lobby is ornate. You are only minutes to the harbor one way and Boston Commons the other way. The rooms have been updated. We found a smaller room on Priceline for under $100. We especially enjoyed the helpful concierge that guided us each day to find the perfect activities. Overall a fantastic trip with this beautiful hotel. We would definitely stay there again.
