Decided spur of the moment to celebrate hubby's birthday as family in Boston for the night. Figured we'd try Parker House - if it's good enough for JFK...you know the rest. On arrival, the friendly valet took over and we entered a beautiful, ornate old school Brahmin lobby (think Dickens novel). Check-in took all of 3 mins. Front desk friendly, super helpful when I forgot my select guest number, said I could add it at any time to the check in record. ***Traveler Tip- sign up for Select Guest Loyalty program for fantastic freebies (did I mention FREE?)*** Room was spacious for the 5 of us, clean, well appointed - 2 double beds & pull out sofa bed. Can't review the restaurants as we did not eat on site. **CAVEAT re:noise level. In the adjoining suite there were a couple of young kids carrying on (yelling, running back in forth) which was fine early on but at 10:45 pm I notified front desk who immediately sent up security to ask that they lower the noise volume and voila no more yelling. Could hear all noise from both adjoining suites. Tried to turn on HVAC to drown out noise but no way to keep unit on continuously. Overall customer service response GREAT - thin walls and discourteous fellow travelers not so much.

The Omni Parker House is one of those older historic properties that you can feel by just walking through the lobby. Excellent craftsmanship, deep dark wooden paneling, almost feels like you are stepping back in time. The staff was very accommodating and friendly upon check in and check out, as was all staff throughout the hotel. Being a historic building built in the 1800's the rooms tend to be on the smaller side as were the bathrooms. We were traveling with a family of three so it was a bit tight, but not much of an issue. Walls are pretty thin between rooms, had no problem listening to the folks next to us. In addition to the historic charm, it's right on the Freedom Trail and a block or two from Boston Common, so the location rocks.

Our stay the Parker House was comfortable and quiet. The location is convenient. The staff was helpful and courteous. Breakfast in the hotel dining room was very good. Late lunch in the Parker Bar was well prepared. The hotel had a nice atmosphere, the historic lobby was beautiful. The dining room and bar gave you a historic hotel experience. We will definitely return!

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and it was very enjoyable. Besides being centrally located, the staff were warm and friendly; room was clean and spacious. I would definitely stay here again when next I'm in Boston.

The Omni Parker House is a luxurious feeling, historic hotel in the centre of Boston. The lobby and public areas of the hotel have an old style elegance which feels right, given your location right next to Boston Common and the history of the Freedom Trail. My room was comfortable and compact. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly. On-site bars served great cocktails!

I had an extended stay at the Omni Parker House. it is a historic landmark hotel established in 1856 in Boston.
Entering the hotel from the Tremont St you walk into a barrel vaulted ceiling with ornate plaster moulding and chandeliers. Your feet are comforted with period carpet as you enter the column reception hall filled with ornate plaster, and plush seating and settees, rich woods and chandeliers. This hotel has an excellent staff who are wonderful, attentive, and knowledgeable about Boston. It is a most to eat at Parker's restaurant. I felt loved and price ledges to eat in a style that was signature New England. The restaurant staff was excellent. Thanks Tony, Lillian, and Younes and others who enhanced the dining experience as Wait Staff. I do recommend to dine at the hotel even though there are other restaurants nearby.

My room was excellent, the bed lead to a very comfortable sleep. Room service was excellent as well and delivered ontime.

Environmental services excellent and room cleanup was prompt but also allowed you to delay it linger awhile longer in your room.

The hotel is sited on the Freedom Trail. It is in walking distance to historic sites such as Beacon Hill, The State House 1798, The Old State House 1713, King' s Chapel, Old City Hall, one of the first examples of French Second Empire architecture in the country, Old South Church, Old Granary Burial Grounds full of famous Puritans. The The Park Street Church, Boston Commons and Public Gardens nearby. The North Endand waterfront a little longer walk but you can Take the MBTA (The T) green or Orange for easy access. South Boston waterfront by Red Line to South Station to the Silver Line. Shooting is also nearby in Dowtown Crossing and Back Bay.

I highly recommend this hotel to everyone! It is quintessential Boston.
