This hotel was very centralized within walking distance to several attractions in the downton Boston area. You can walk pretty much anywhere from this hotel. The room was a good size, the staff was friendly and available for any questions. Our rooms was a bit noisy but we where close to the elevator. Besides that it was great.
There is a restaurant, a bar, and a small store on the lobby of the hotel.
There are also several restaurants and retail stores around the hotel. I would definately stay here next time I am in the Boston area.

Room Tip: Request a room away from the elevator.

We stayed at the Omni Parker as part of a coach trip through New England. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times and the food was absolutely delicious.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We spent 7 nights in this hotel in total although went on a three day road trip to Cape Cod in the middle of it. We could not fault The Omni Parker House Hotel! We used the restaurant each morning for breakfast, (the choice of which was extensive) and also for some evening meals - again, excellent food and service. Immensely comfy beds which is exactly what was required when jet lagged and tired out after sight seeing. Bedrooms and bathrooms spotlessly clean and well equipped. The highlights of our stay were without doubt the staff who could not do enough to make it memorable and comfortable - and that goes for everyone from greeters and front desk to room service/restaurant. We especially thank Seamus Murphy and Steve Mastrogiacomo......... if by chance you're reading this review you already know how special you made our holiday. We travelled as a family of four including our two teenage daughters and Seamus and Steve encouraged us to totally embrace a taste of life in New England, albeit it too short for our liking! We hope to return to Boston one day in the not too distant future and know for sure that we will not even bother looking to stay in any other hotel. As afore mentioned, we did go to Cape Cod during our time in New England, which was fabulous, but on returning to the Omni Parker House for the final few days of our holiday, we felt like we had come home. What more can I say?

We stayed in The Parker House in 2008, I said then that when I visited Boston again, I would stay in this same hotel, unless there was any overwhelming reason not to.
Happy to say there was not, price wise it was very competitive with the other top hotels.
There is nothing really not to like.
The Location is fantastic, the Freedom Trail runs right outside, turn right at the bottom of the road and in a hundred yards you are in the shopping area with Macy's and other stores, turn left and in the same distance you are at the historic Quincy Market and the historic Faneuil Hall. passing the sight of the Boston Massacre and The Old State House on the way.
The hotel has history, you can read about JFK's relationship with it, and how Ho Chi Minh and Malcolm X worked there, and various historical figures have stayed there, it has an Edwardian style splendour about it , with a huge lobby, that is great to sit in and watch people.
Our rooms have been comfortable and clean and well appointed on both occasions.
We had an Executive King on this occasion, which was a great room, but being at the side did not have any sort of view, we were only here for the one night this time so that was of little consequence.
If you are staying a few nights it might be worth stipulating a frontal room.
We did not eat breakfast in the hotel, if it was like our last visit is is lovely but expensive.
There is a coffee shop as part of the building next to the main entrance that can be accessed without going outside that does pastries and cakes etc.
The restaurant (where JFK proposed to Jacqui) is very nice and they do a three course early doors pre-theatre menu for $36 , a reasonable bottle of wine for $32 so under £45 (Nov '12) for a three course meal for two with wine in a top restaurant.
Look , we have stayed in better hotels, spanking brand new Intercontinental's, but none have the same feel about then as the Parker House.
This is number 36 on TripAdvisors list of Boston Hotels as I write this, Boston must have some brilliant hotels, people are looking for other things or Parker House guests don't bother too much with review writing, perhaps a combination of all three.
It's not absolutely perfect in every detail, but it's got charm and character.
If you read this and this has some sort of influence on your decision, I hope you will not be disappointed.

This hotel is centrally located, the accommodation is good though small, eg, there is insufficient room to open your suitcase fully unless you place it on the bed. The bathrooms are also small. The food and service at the hotel were good, but the prime benefit of this hotel is its central location.

We stayed here at the start of our recent holiday to New England. The location is fantastic just minutes from Boston Common. The hotel is famous as the oldest continuously used hotel in the USA .

The room was disappointing. Very small by US standards but due to the old historic nature of the building. It was also dark and dingy with no outlook. Bed was comfy and facilities in room were good but bathroom was also small. We had no hot water the first morning but that was sorted when we told the hotel.

The lobby and bars were good and every member of staff very helpful. We did not eat in the hotel.

I would stay here again but would look for a room upgrade for a larger brighter room.

This was the last night of a 10 day 25th-anniversary vacation across New England, ending in Boston. Overall, I have nothing but great things to say about the Omni Parker House.

The highlights:
> We signed up for their Select Guest program (free) which gets you some water and a newspaper and maybe other perks but we didn't inquire about all the angles.
> We let them know it was our anniversary....and while the room wasn't ready until a couple hours after our (early) arrival, they had spread rose petals in the shape of a heart on our bed to welcome us. In addition, later in the day we found champagne on ice and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us in the room as well. No matter what else might have happened, this was going to a touch we'd remember.
> The place is over-the-top beautiful....the lobby, elevators, hall ways....all very classic old-hotel nice.
> Location is perfect. We walked the Freedom Trail....caught the T to Fenway and walked to dinner in the North End without any problem. Do NOT wear anything like heels that could get caught in the gaps in the cobbestone which, while rustic and historic, can really mess with the wrong kind of shoe.

Not as Great:
> Boston hotel prices are Manhattan-esque. Not just over $300 for the room but the taxes and taxes and taxes crank it up to top-of-the-charts pricey.
> Yes, the rooms are incredibly small. We had a King Deluxe and am scared to think what a non-deluxe room looks like...
> Street noise can be an issue for people that are sensitive to these things. We were about 1/2 way up the building and could still hear traffic but it quiets down in the evenings.
