I stayed at the Omni Parker House for a few nights in February 2012 and I've been meaning to write a review since. There's no doubt the hotel is in an excellent location - a five minute walk from the Government Center station (which is very quickly and easily reached from the airport) and the Park Street station and right in the heart of many of the historic sights of Boston which are within easy walking distance.
There were two major problems though: (i) bed bugs, which bit my legs to pieces; and (ii) the television in the room didn't seem to work properly (the sound and audio was intermittent on a number of channels). Neither problem was enough for me to complain at the time, particularly because I was only staying a few nights and I spent most of my time outside the hotel exploring Boston, but this was a big let down simply because of the price of somewhere like the Omni Parker House.
I would probably look elsewhere (but in the same neighbourhood) if I returned to Boston because I feel let down having paid for a "good" hotel which had a couple of basic problems.More
