“The Oasis is simple and perfect”
Reviewed February 11, 2007

The Oasis is a small, simple, comfortable guest house in a convenient location. I don't see any reason to stay anywhere else unless you're on an expense account. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. The living room/kitchen area is pleasant. The management is helpful. It much nicer than the "luxury" of the big hotels.

Looking for a reasonably priced budget place to stay in Boston? Check out the Oasis Guest House B&B. It is plainly furnished, but is neat and clean. The main floor has a lobby area and breafkast room. Located on a quiet street just off a main street, it is close to the subway. Prices are reasonable for what you get in a city where it can be difficult to find inexpensive lodging.

My husband and I with 3 friends booked into the Oasis for five nights at the end of October. We were all given rooms in Adam's Place just three houses away from the Oasis. I think they are run by the same people. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The whole place was impeccable and the staff friendly. We had two double rooms and the third peson a single and all rooms were of an adequate size. The situation of the B&B is great. Near to the centre of Boston and an easy walk to the T, many restuarants, shops, takeaways and the Prudential Centre. The price is very good for the situation and there is a good breakfast served in the kitchen next to the lounge. We were welcome to use the lounge/kitchen at any time which we did. There are many students in the area from the music school nearby. We had no noise at night and our room was on the front but I can imagine there must be times in the year when the students do make a noise as some of the previous reviewers have stated. If I were to return to Boston I would definitely stay there again.

I stayed in the Oasis for 3 nights in August - it was extremely clean, great location, plus cute deck out the back for beers and cups of tea. Above all the service was fantastic - I was caught up in the Heathrow delays and the hotel changed my booking without charge and with great charm. They also gave great tips and driving directions - I would definitely recommend the Oasis!

Charming and quiet guest house just off a main drag (a block away from the intersection of Boylston Street and Massachusetts). Thoughtful, helpful staff. Bed and breakfast feel. Small and well-decorated "living room," with fireplace, at the entry. My room had a queen size, bed, couch, tidy bathroom, ample closet and drawers, and television hung hugh in the corner. I felt like I was living in the lap of luxury at a reasonabe room rate - cheaper than local hotels. A stone's throw from car rental, restaurants, Berklee College of Music, and and Whole Foods Market.

We stayed at the Oasis Guest House for 4 nights at the end of June and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful; the location was brilliant and located very near to many sights and also near bus and train links for the further out sights. There was a very homely feel to the guest house and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a place to stay when visiting Boston. There have been a few reviews mentioning that the room sizes are a bit small but if you go for the rooms with private bathrooms the room sizes are the same as what you would find in most hotels. I would definitley stay here again.

I have been traveling to Boston for work frequently for three years and the Oasis Guest House has become my home away from home. The location is wonderful for anyone visiting Bostonfor business or pleasure. The rooms are warm and welcoming. The staff is helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Everything you could need is within one block of the guest house - video rental, bank, fast food, drug store, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts and just 1 block from Symphony Hall and a short walk to Fenway park. All this for reasonable rates!
