The people here say that they have a computer that you can use, but if you try to use any email, you get a warning from the browser explaining that if you try to use email, you will be hacked. Apparently the owner is too cheap to buy a current version of Windows, thus leaving your information open to massive hacking if you try to use gmail or any other browser based email system.

Room Tip: I suggest trying 463 Beacon Street Guest House as an alternative.

Nestled in an ideal location for walking to Fenway Park, this lovely, newly remodeled Brownstone provided a most pleasant setting for our overnight with excellent accommodations. Our king bed was especially comfortable. Noise was completely shut off from a busy, bustling city which made our night's sleep relaxing and restful. Breakfast in the morning offered a variety of healthy food and beverage items for starting another new day in the city. My husband and I would highly recommend this Guest House.

Room Tip: Our room had one King bed with an additional single bed located on the main floor, just steps from the breakfast nook and front desk. We also had a private bath with small balcony. A lovely room!

I am thankful to the Oasis Guest House who made OGH an enjoyable place to stay during a residency I did at BU. OGH was quiet, in a nice neighborhood, and I thought affordably priced. My needs are simple and there was never an issue of "sharing" the bathoom - always hot water, always available - and the breakfasts were sufficient.

Around the corner there were lots of restaurants with healthy selections for those times I did eat out. There is D&D and Starbucks really close too.

I liked the ~1 mile walk to BU but would not recommend that for everyone dealing with BU. Other than that, I recommend without hesitation.

I want to thank all of you who recommended the Oasis Guest House. I stayed there for six nights, in order to attend a conference at the Hynes Convention Center, plus doing a little tourism. The room was small but impeccably clean, as was the shared bathroom. It is a converted row-house, not a Hilton or a Hyatt (don't expect amenities, though it does provide free wireless and some cable tv), and it is in the middle of a college area, so there is some noise outside, especially on the weekends, but nothing I couldn't live with. Breakfast was basic but ok. The staff was particularly helpful, from getting me an extra blanket to taking my luggage up and down stairs. All in all, a great experience.

Room Tip: If you are disrupted by noise, ask for a room that doesn't face the street OR that is in the second floor.

Had a great 6 day stay in room on main floor with 1 queen and 1 single. Nice to have outside deck to enjoy breakfast. Could have used a bit more variety for breakfast items- only toast, bagels, english muffins, 2 cereals, fruit, and 2 sweets- always the same every day, as well as coffee/tea. Would have liked muffins/scones, granola. Close to subway. Good service. Free Wi-Fi a very nice feature- most hotels charge for it.

Room Tip: Main floor room 118 is quite large.
