Four Seasons Boston was a calm oasis in the midst of a hot, busy July 4th weekend. Though not the largest or most glamorous hotel, it offered clean, spacious rooms, nice amenities and excellent service. Nice touches like coffee and croissants in the lobby in the morning and cookies and lemonade in the afternoon were appreciated. A chauffeured BMW is available on a first come first served basis. Wonderful alternative to the awful, dirty, smelly non-air conditioned cabs in Boston. What's up with that?
The restaurant offers a delicious breakfast (lemon ricotta pancakes were a highlight) and a pricey but lovely dinner. Indoor pool overlooking the Public Garden & Boston Common came in useful after 90+ degree days.
Hotel service was efficient yet not in your face. Great location across from Boston Common. At their prices, one expects the best. It is refreshing when a hotel actually meets high expectations.More
