“Pleasant stay”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

Stayed at the Four Seasons for one night and was very pleased with my stay. The room was very spacious and had a great bathroom, but I think it lacked the wow effect the latest 5 star hotels usually have. Tried the gym, which despite being a bit small was well equipped.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re pleased that you enjoyed your guestroom and bathroom. Over the next few years, our property will be enhancing many aspects of the Hotel that we’re sure you will enjoy. We hope that you were able to take in the beautiful views overlooking the Boston Public Garden from the Spa on the 8th Floor while exercising in the gym. We look forward to welcoming you back to Boston again in the future!

I've stayed in plenty of dumps and nice places, but never has the service and the attention to detail been this impecable - professional, beyond what would be expected, at every turn. Even offfered to drive us to a museum in the hotel car. come on - who does that? And the kids fell in love too - it started by the hotel staff letting our kids select stuffed toys upon arrival... just saying - stay here!

My husband and I decided to spend the night here since we were having dinner in town with friends and didn't feel like commuting back to the suburbs the same night. We founds a special corporate rate with my company $225 per night which seemed to be the same as several other hotels when we compared. We checked in early (4 PM) and we were greeted by Margaret at the desk. She was so professional and asked what brought us in. We explained it was a one night out w/o kids, etc. She told us that she was upgrading us to a suite for no extra cost and said that we deserved it as she realized it was a special night. We were thrilled and LOVED our suite overlooking the park. It was such a beautiful room-- the bed was so comfortable, we had an extra bathroom and sitting area, etc. People opened the doors for us wherever we went and we loved the pool and workout area, too. Just top notch on so many levels. We had breakfast at the Bristol Lounge the next AM. It seemed a little outragous in price but it's hard to get in on a SUN for brunch at any decent place in Boston so it was worth the ease and the price. The buffett looke good but we weren't that hungry- so we stayed with the regular menu.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade if they don't offer it. The hotel wasn't crowded so they were happy to do...

We’re so pleased that you and your husband had such a wonderful getaway. We know just how special an evening away can be and are glad to provide pure R&R for couples. A great night’s sleep in a Four Seasons bed is truly one of the best indulgences! We appreciate your feedback about Brunch at The Bristol Lounge. With the new menu additions of carving, pasta and dessert stations, we do hope it’s a true Sunday treat – and one that you can hopefully enjoy upon a future visit. We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you back in the future!

A great one bedroom suite with a nice size living room. Quite nice ambiance. This is not top of the line luxury service, but very good service. I know it is hard to name the guests by name and it is a city Four Seasons, but you expect it from a luxury brand like this. I found it a bit short of staff without specifically knowing why. The Pool is very nice, the lockers were not serviced properly but again, It is not a resort. The restaurant is good and has a fun dessert buffet. In general it could be as extraordinary as a Four Seasons should, but isn't. It is just great.

Room Tip: Park Views, high floor.

My wife and I stayed at the Four Seasons in early February for a bit of a post-holiday getaway weekend. It was fantastic!

The room was immaculate and spacious for a city room. We especially liked the layout of the room Because the sleeping area was buffeted from the door to the hallway by the hallway to the bathroom. Hallway noise did not disturb us at all while sleeping.

The pool area is very nice, albeit a bit chilly! The hot tub is large and warm! The locker rooms are spotless. We had a great lunch poolside too.

Now the best part: The Bristol! What a place! The food is fantastic, the atmosphere incredible; it truly earns the moniker " Boston's living room!" And the staff treats you like family. Shane is awesome - as are the other servers! The Sunday Brunch is probably the best we've ever had. The Saturday night dessert bar is incredible too!

Everyone here is is down to earth you would never guess you are at a five star hotel!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us…our Chef and The Bristol Lounge staff, Shane included, are absolutely glowing reading your review. They’re elated that you were able to experience Sundaes on Saturdays as well as the Sunday Dessert Buffet, two of our favorite weekly events. We’re very proud of our amazing team here: their hard work is matched by a warm, welcoming and upbeat attitude that we hope helps us stand apart. We will continue to do all we can to ensure our guests have fantastic experiences at the Hotel and restaurant each and every day.

Thanks for taking the time to share details of your stay with us. We’re elated that our staff went above and beyond to assist – and are delighted too that you took advantage of our Fitness Center and pool, not to mention the complimentary coffee and muffins in our lobby each morning: three of our favorite features. Our family came to the Four Seasons in Boston for a dental convention, but also happened to be our daughter's 8th birthday. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a smile and friendly service, the concierge even gave our daughter her pick of a stuffed animal from an assortment in a red wagon. From there we made our way to our room, which was beautiful, and very quiet (which can be hard to come by in a city hotel). When we got to the room there was a Four Seasons backpack filled with goodies for our daughter, and the staff even wrote on the bathroom tub "Happy Birthday Maria", she was overjoyed. After we were settled in there was even a piece of decadent chocolate cake and fruit set up to the room. We got to check out the spa and indoor pool which were very nice, we were even offered robes and fresh slippers to walk back to our room in. We also went for some shopping in the area and out to dinner, which the house car chauffeured us to. I cannot say enough how attentive, nice, and helpful every single member of the Four Seasons staff is. These people love their jobs and take pride in the gorgeous hotel. The rooms were amazing, staff was amazing, service was amazing, and the room service was amazing as well. I highly recommend staying at this hotel. Not only were we happy to have a luxurious and quiet room to sleep in, but the hotel made our daughter's birthday one she will remember forever.
