Great location in Boston and a good value. While bathrooms were small, very clean and all room appointments were very well done. Will definitely book again should we return to Boston. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I have stayed here every month for 3 years. Its clean, comfortable, great location, great staff, everything I need. The staff cant do enough for you.
If you want big bathrooms, this place is not for you, but I always enjoy my stay there. Stay high for a better view. The views from 7/8th floor are fabulous.

Room Tip: Great views from 7 and 8th floors

Chandler Inn and its staff have satisfied all my expectations. Perfect, clean, quiet location in a wonderful corner of Boston. Easy to arrive to the city center but also easy for who, like me, wanted to rent a car and catch the Route 90. Congratulations to the staff always polite and willing to answer our questions!

The rooms are very small and very spartan, but clean. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was just big enough for one person. Our biggest problem was noise. The hotel is in a very nice, safe neighboorhood, about a 10 minute easy walk from the Back Bay orange line station. But on Friday and Saturday nights there were police cars with sirens on going past several times a night. There were also dogs, people arguing on the street, etc.. We were on the top 8th floor and still heard all this. The worst noise was when someone walked through the hallway opening and closing doors was several minutes early Saturday morning (~2am) and Monday morning (~7am). We can only assume it was staff. Then at 8am cleaning staff came in and started talking loudly, hooting, and laughing in the hallway. The building is very old and musty, everything echoes, and no amount of new paint and weird wallpaper will cover that up. The shower did not have hot water 2 nights out of the 3. The staff seemed to deal with the problem by resetting the water heater every time a guest called to complain. For the relatively cheap price in Boston, you can't expect luxury, but this hotel didn't even meet the basics of a good night's sleep and hot shower.

Room Tip: All rooms face the street - do not stay here if you are a light sleeper.

Chandler inn is located in a quiet neighbourhood not far from the T-station (Bay Back), though locating it can be a challenge. The check-in process is smooth and easy. The room layout is neat with a modern touch (an orange bolster and a big panoramic photo of the Boston skyline), but it probably does not deserve a high price (USD169 for the room, and USD195 after taxes) given its basic amenities and location.

Boston was our first stop on our road trip across the East Coast from Toronto. We had booked this hotel mainly based on price, the weekend we were arriving everything was through the roof price wise, and this hotel had one room left. We weren't expecting much given how much we paid, but our two nights ended up being enjoyable! Yes, the rooms are tiny and so are the bathrooms, but given the space restrictions the layout is great and condusive to sleeping, which is pretty much all we did there. The location was great, we walked EVERYWHERE from this location, and the staff were good to deal with. We would both definitetly stay here again on a return trip.

The hotel seemed nice from the pictures and was. The room was small but clean. The bathroom was very small and the shower was not fully enclosed, really confusing to work the ac/heat, and yes, like someone else mentioned, the toilet flushed only by holding the handle through the cycle and the metal bar in the room for clothes was odd and uncomfortable. You definitely have no space anywhere at the hotel to entertain buisness associates - no restaurant, no lobby, and certainly no space in the room.
The restaurant that connects to the lobby is a sports bar with bar food - not a full menu but great drinks. Ok for a night but no longer.
