Arrived late. Welcomed and checked in very quickly by the night reception man. As we had lots of luggage he asked if we would like to leave some in reception, which we did. The room was small, well decorated and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Bathroom small, shower very good. Large TV, easy to operate. Good internet signal, complimentary coffee/tea etc at all times in reception.Bar next door connected to hotel serves good food at reasonable price. All staff were friendly and helpful Location Close to the park, easy walking distance from there to several places. The Cheers bar on Beacon Hill was good to see, food was good value for money.

During our visit to Boston, we were Chandler Inn. for 3 nights in the studio 22. Besides being expensive, the rooms are tiny ...
When we arrived, there was no soap, no chairs, no coffee!
The staff is not at all pleasant. He told us that this kind of service should be communicated in advance! Really??
And for payment, they debit a pre-authorization equivalent to 100% of the amount then they debit the invoice ... Double bill!

Although the studio was nice and we love the area, the lack of professionalism ruins everything!

The Chandler Inn is really pretty nice hotel. Room was clean and comfortable, location is very nice, internet and coffee on as well. Moreover you can find on the ground floor Gay Sport Bar. You can have a lovely time there, pretty nice. As a whole I recommend that hotel. Have a good trip!

Tiny rooms, average mattresses, but an excellent location in a clean and friendly boutique hotel.

Chandler is a beautiful, unpretentious street at the edge of Back Bay. It's within spitting distance of Copley Square, Beacon Hill, Back Bay station, and the business district. It's a ten minute walk to the Haynes Convention Centre. It's about half the price of the surrounding hotels, and while the rooms are tiny, it's very clean and doesn't feel corporate. It's next door to the homiest, coziest coffee shop in Boston, which serves great food.

The Chandler also houses the city's largest gay sports bar (I know, I know: there's more than one!), which is an odd but friendly place.

The building itself has a lot of character, though it was updated on the cheap. The decor is chic, but the carpets are a little worn. There was no closet in my room, just a rack on which to hang my clothes. It's near the Mass turn pike, so I did sleep with my windows closed. Something really clicked here, and I would stay here over more expensive places.

The service is great. Helpful employees, and clean, quiet rooms. A great value, and nice enough to feel like a treat.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the turnpike. The windows are great, so you'll sleep well regardless, b...

The Chandler Inn is a nice hotel. Close location to the Backbay area and an easy nice stroll to the city & Boston Common & public park. The staff were friendly & obliging. The rooms were small but clean, comfortable & nice to come back to after a long day sightseeing. The hotel has ice making facilities in the lobby with bags so you can collect the ice & take to your room, which is very convenient. A bar (Fritz) is on the ground floor & can be accessed from the lobby. There is a café which does great breakfasts just around the corner & a 711. A walk down Columbus Ave will deliver numerous places for dinner. Happy to recommend this hotel anytime.

Room Tip: I prefer upper floors but I think any floor would be the same.

We came during the lock down, so the small room and noise really got heightened during this trip.

Thin walls, you will hear your neighbors talking and their TV.

Just like everyone says, it is small, so if you don't mind just a bed and washroom you are good to go.

Also found out that the bar below is a gay bar, not that anything is wrong with that! Just a heads up, they could get rowdy at night and start yelling in the streets.

Overall, for $189/night which is kind of close to subways/transit and kinda close to newbury and prudential. It was all OK.

The Chandler Inn was perfect for our weekend for the Boston Marathon. Looks like it's been recently refurbished, rooms were lovely. Our bathroom was clean and nicely done if but a bit small. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There are no other facilities eg breakfast etc. Though there are plenty of great breakfast/lunch/dinner options within walking distance. Back Bay T station is minutes walk away if you go across the bridge and in the back entrance. Stunning bakery/food option Flour is minutes away though of course packed due to the marathon. Copley Sq, Prudential building/mall, Newbury St etc all within 10-15mins walk.

Room Tip: Best rooms as in most hotels would be on a high floor and at the end
