Great location, walkable to Copley place and Back Bay station. Tiny room and bathroom but well maintained. The staff are friendly. I did not like the strong insecticide like smell in the elevator. I enjoyed my stay and felt very comfortable during my stay. Its expensive for its size but location and friendly staff make up for it.

Room Tip: Higher level room since there is a bar on the ground floor

We chose the Chandler Inn Hotel because of its location. It was a delightful surprise to experience the contemporary room, great front desk staff, and quiet locale. The main attractions of Boston were walkable distances; the restaurant row of Tremont Street was down the block; and a main metro station a block away. The small, efficient bathroom could use a small shelf for toiletries, but all else was very comfortable.

A friend of mine and I stayed at the Chandler Inn during the weekend of the Belgian Beer Fest. We had decided to stay at the Chandler because it was the closest hotel to the Boston Center of the Arts, the T station, and also the most affordable on a student's budget. We reserved a room with two twin beds, and loved it! The space was small, but the room was incredibly clean, chic, and perfectly livable. The staff at the desk were very helpful and willing to help with anything we needed, including pointing us in the right direction for breakfast and the Samuel Adams Brewery. Its location cannot be beat if you need a place in the South End. For the weekend getaway, we could not have asked for a better place.

Note: the average rating for the swimming pool and fitness center should be NA as we did not use them.

Perfectly satisfactory little hotel. About a 10 minute walk from the train/subway station and shopping areas. Staff were competent and nice. Room was pleasant, about the size I expected, and quiet. Great location and reasonably priced. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks. Kenia Carvalho from São Paulo, Brazil.

Our room was crisp and clean. Modern furnishings, flat screen tv, very comfortable. The bathroom, albeit brand New, is quite small...not an issue for us but may be an issue if a visitor is accustomed to spacious hotel bathrooms. Staff was welcoming and gracious. Walking distance to Tremont and great restaurants. Plenty of offsite parking. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel's location is excellent: very close to a lot of restaurants in the back bay area, a walking distance to the bay promenade, shops, down town, close to metro. The staff is friendly. The things that I did not like: very small room, if you open a window there is constant background noise either from construction or the highway and you need to sleep with air conditioning on although it is not too warm outside. The room has no wadrobe, frige or a coffee maker. You can store something in a frige in the lobby and there is a coffee machine downstairs. The bathroom is very small.

Room Tip: there is a bar on the ground floor so try for a higher floor...

The Chandler Inn is located just two blocks south and east of Back Bay Station, very convenient to Back Bay, to downtown and to the Orange and Green lines. The neighborhood is very nice and very quiet, mostly old townhouses. The rates are very reasonable. The staff is very friendly. If you're not planning to spend a lot of time sitting in your hotel room, this is a great bargain.

We stayed in a two twin bed room. The room is small. There is only one dresser, and it was mostly filled with the spare blankets. There is no closet at all, just a small rack in one corner, with seven hangars. The bathroom is tiny. There is only one chair in the room, and the writing desk is very small, with no light other than the ceiling light over it. There was no ironing board or blow dryer in the room (I didn't ask - maybe they would have been provided upon request). None of the above items bothered us in the least.

The beds were comfortable, and the place is very clean. This is an old hotel that's neen nicely updated. They had small rooms to work with, and they did what they could. The old construction also means no noise. I usually travel by train or plane, so I didn't have to deal with the parking problem. I strongly recommend this hotel, and will stay there any time I'm in Boston.
