My father and I stayed at Gryphon house in a pilgrimage to Fenway Park - and manged to see some others sights as well. The decor of the house is stunning - loved the main floor, and the Sanctuary was a perfect chioce for us.

My wife and I stayed for 3 days at the end of August. The staff was very helpful getting us settled in and giving us great advice as to how to maximize our stay in the city.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Garden room...it was the least expensive but provided all we could ask for and we h...

I spent five days in Boston - all at the Gryphon. I had a fabulous room overlooking the river. It was quite, spacious, clean and well-appointed. Close to the T in a neighborhood that I felt safe walking in alone. Close to the overpass to the trail along the river and very walkable for those going to Newbury St or the convention center.

The staff was helpful and nice. The only draw back was the breakfast selection was the same each day, although not a problem. They include more protein options than most continental breakfasts though. The beds were comfy, the baths clean and it included a small frig - added bonus.

Would highly recommend to those who are on business travel at the convention center and don't mind walking and experiencing the neighborhoods.

I highly recommend Gryphon House. My husband and I have now stayed there twice and both times were great. The first time for our anniversary and the second on a trip with the kids. The location is great--between Fenway and Newbury Street. It is clean and comfortable. Great service and beautiful bathrooms. So far we have stayed in the Tuscany and North Tower rooms. I can't wait to try them all!

We were in Boston for 4 days, but were only able to book the Morningside room at Gryphon Hose for 2 of the nights. Gryphon House is a bit further from the heart of Boston, but walking distance to Harvard & Fenway Park. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. If I had to make any criticism it would be that the blinds don't totally darken the room and it gets light early, but other than that it was very good

We stayed in the Sanctuary room in the Gryphon House for 3 days. Teresa, at the front desk was very helpful. She helped us move in our suitcases and showed us around the room, which is quite nice. It has a modern DirecTV TV, a fridge, oven and freezer. Teresa said that the freezer makes a "demon noise" during the defrost cycle, but we didn't hear it. You can hear the traffic occasionally, but you're very close to the Kenmore Square T and bus station. The continental breakfast is coffee, orange juice, cereal, oatmeal, croissants, tarts, toast and sweet breads. Any of the staff will offer help, advice on where to go and eat, and provide you with maps, and an extensive DVD and book collection. In the room, there's also a binder full of restaurants and attractions, which is quite helpful. Overall, a great, clean, friendly place!

We stayed here in June with our two children ages 10 and 13. We prefer B & B's because of the personal service and having breakfast already there. We chose Gryphon House because they offered a larger room so we could all have some space. Our room Aerie, was like a small apartment. We had plenty of room to watch tv, sit at our laptop, or take a nap. The neighborhood and location was perfect. We loved walking in the neighborhood and the inn keeper gave us a great walking tour map that allowed us to explore the area very easily. The inn was beautiful, but not so stuffy that we were afraid to bring our kids with us. Can't wait to go back.
