My room on the 14th floor was functional and afforded a decent view of the harbor and South Boston. The beds were just awesome and incredibly comfortable, especially on my first night coming off of a 15-hour train trip. The room was tastefully decorated in a nautical motif, in keeping with its location near the waterfront. The bar area was very nicely done and the bar staff knew how to mix a good cocktail. The restaurant, 606 Congress, is great for breakfast and dinner, though a bit pricey.
My only real complaint about this hotel is that they tend to nickel-and-dime you. If you need headache tablets, it's $1.29 for four. If you want Internet access, it's $13 a day extra. Given that they charge over $200 a night for a room, I think they should include Internet and offer sundry items like headache pills or Alka-Seltzer within reason.More
