“Needs Some Work”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 4, 2010

Stayed here for New Years Eve. On the minus side, we arrived to find that the parking garage was full, including valet for the guests. We had to park in a public lot two blocks away and walk to the hotel. Two elevators were broken causing long lines to get to the upper floors. Shower had an abundance of cold water but not enough hot water.

On the plus side, the location was good and we could watch the fireworks from our room at midnight. Cost was reasonable $169 considering it was New Years.

We stayed here for 3 nights, and were pleased with the accomodations. Positives: beautiful view from room, both harbor and city views, nice lap pool, huge sauna, fitness center was great, nice amenities, staff was really friendly, concierge very accomodating. Negatives: pricey room, bar drinks were expensive, beds were uncomfortable, far from everything. No impulsive trip to kill time at Quincy Market, or the North End, both are a $ 7-8 cab ride away. Only close places are Legal Test Kitchen, and long waits for tables at local restaurants. About 5 blocks to the Convention Center, also quite a walk to the nearest Dunkin'.

I have stayed at a few hotels in Boston, and the Renaissance is one of my favorites. The business lounge is great, the staff is friendly and helpful, and although they originally messed up our room arrangements, they immediately fixed the problem and treated us to a wonderful fruit plate. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, and the restaurant downstairs is wonderful. I've stayed there three times and I'm sure I will stay there again!

We stayed here for one night. We had two rooms, and arrived late from an international flight. We had very nice rooms, the connection with the Silver Line is super easy from Logan Airport and we had a lovely, quick dinner at the restaurant. One thing I would like to add is that the breakfast buffet is wonderful! Dont miss it!

We lucked out on Priceline and got this wonderful hotel for $81/night. I've read on different message boards of some people getting it for anywhere between $75-$103 (I guess depending on the time of year that you go).

I had been looking for a hotel close to the TD Banknorth Gardens, as we were going for a hockey game, but wound up with this one based on price. I was a little hesitant at first, because on a map it looked relatively far from where I intended to be. But when I went to the hotel website, I saw what a catch we got! Not only was the hotel new, it was surrounded by places to eat, it was on the direct line on the T from the airport right at the hotel doorstep and was within walking distance to the Faneuil Hall area.

The staff was wonderful, the bed was extremely comfortable and the room was quiet :) I'd recommend this to anyone going to Boston, and hope that I should be so lucky as to get this hotel on Priceline again when I go back!!

First of all, the view was very nice. From the harbour, I had a "city view" and even though I was only on the 8th floor, it was exceptional. What a nice city! The hotel is located right on the tour bus line, and for 7$ per person, you take the bus for the day, and it brings you back (every 20 min). The downtown area is only 20 minutes walk if it's a nice day... The building is new and very elegant. I read a review that said that the beds were stiff. Whatever. They are very nice.

On the negative side: it is pricey. Even though I got a deal because I paid with AMEX (50$ off), it is still expensive. Don't forget that valet parking is 41$ per day... There are some other parking lots near the hotel if you don't want to pay too much. They range from 10 to 50$.
