This was my first stay here. Room modern and large. Bed and linens great. Beautiful flat screen. Staff truly wonderful and there was nothing that they would not do.

The negatives: Walls are very thin, and could hear the people in the next room talking, and the TV sound apparent.

Parking, at $41, extremely expensive for this area. Another issue is location. Fine for me, but if someone wants a "night on the town", too far to walk anywhere.

Would definitely stay again, primarily due to the wonderful staff.

This new hotel is in a great location. It is right by the airport but is slightly off the beaten track where the traffic and noise are very tolerable. It is surrounded by great restaurants and upscale condos and office buildings. It is just a few blocks from the subway as well.

The hotel is clean, modern and chic. The rooms are pretty cramped which is not uncommon for a big East Coast city. While we were there, there was a huge singles convention, so it was not exactly peaceful and quiet. The walls are paper thin and the sound insulation is somewhat lacking. However, the service is friendly, prompt and professional. The gym is well done but very hot! There is a small pool.

If you want a new, trendy clean hotel in a great location, you would be hard pressed to find a better place.

I am so glad I stayed at this hotel. Off the beaten track a little but with 2 housekeeping svs a day, great linens, comfortable rooms and club floor - that's all I needed. Once in a while you hear the planes but not really bothersome. There are a number of good restaurants within a short cab ride. Remember this is near water and does not have the same atmosphere and shopping as the other areas of Boston. You would use a cab or if you are so inclined the subway is just a short walk away. As a hotel this was first rate and I would definately stay again.

I booked this hotel for 100/night through priceline and actually met someone who got a bid accepted for 75 so DO NOT pay full price. We got a room on the 17th floor looking over the bay which was beautiful and well worth the money.
As far as asthetics & looks, this hotel has it all -- a beautiful, trendy entrance, trendy lounge/restaurant (with delicious food), and fantastic (again, trendy) rooms. Bed are very comfortable and with a 42in flat screen TV, it cant get much better!
My wife and I were visiting Boston (and Salem) from 10/22 - 10/26 and are mid-20s and my only complaint is that for a young couple who enjoys walking around town, going out to the bar to get a few drinks, etc -- this hotel is NOT condusive to that. youve got a train or cab ride to get to downtown boston which is inconvenient. it was only a minor problem for us but its a FYI because the public transportation is fantastic -it clean, 1 block from the hotel, and always on time (didnt seem like we waited more than 5 mins for any train). Also, another FYI is DO NOT park in the parking lots they offer ($27/day self parked or $41/day valet) there is a parking lots by the atlantic beer garden (E Service Street) that having parking for $10/day and I wished we had parked there.
So overall, great hotel, great staff, great city -- just know you've got to take a train to get anywhere and are NOT in the middle of anything - except a boring pier.. for some people thats okay, for us couldve been a bit more exciting but well worth the money

Stayed for business in early October & found hotel to be really comfortable and very clean. Here is an overview:
PROS:
-95% of staff I encountered from desk to room service were professional, courteous, informed
-Large, comfortable lounging settee in front of large window
-Bed linens & mattress are FANTASTIC!! Slept like a newborn baby
-Meticulously clean
-42" LCD TV that turns to anywhere in the room
-GREAT lighting from dim/mood to bright in all areas of room
-Large glass shower (no tub) w/great water pressure & temp
-Room Service friendly, good food, reasonable price
-Excellent onsite restaurant & Starbucks in lobby
-Fresh smelling & quiet

CONS:
-Location is a bit more businessy than touristy (not seedy or scary area) but taxis available continuously, Silver Line (bus) & subway both less than a block away
-No airport shuttle yet very close to Logan

Tips if you aren't using a rental car:
Buy a $2.00 ticket at MBTA machine in baggage claim area of airport or pay on the bus. Go to the RIGHT END of walk at arrivals (each terminal) & wait for long double bus, the Silver Line. It's only 2 bucks and the 2nd stop is right at the Renaissance (Silver Line Way stop).
Taxi price: Hotel to Mass General/Shriners Burn Hosp: approx 8 bucks.

We stayed there for five nights attending a conference in the hotel. Got a special conference rate of about $200 plus tax. Although the location was not bad, I would likely consider a downtown hotel if going to Boston just as a tourist, especially if the rate at the Renaissance were much more than we paid. As noted, the hotel is not real close to a lot of attractions, though it is within easy walking distance (across a parking lot and street) to the Silver Line bus/trolley, which can connect you go the airport or the regular subway lines. Breakfast option of Starbucks has been noted, though they seemed to have nothing but pastries. You can get fast food breakfast sandwiches a 5 plus minute walk away at Dunkin Donuts. For dinner, there is the restaurant/bar in the lobby (limited menu), and, nearby, the seafood and Italian restaurants noted in other reviews, plus the funky No Name Restaurant at the nearby Fish Pier, the small and casual Yankee Lobster Pot down the street, upscale Morton's Steak House, and others if you walk further. Still, if the weather is bad you may not enjoy the walking required. The rooms are modern and spacious. No complaints at all, other than the lack of room safes. Ours had a nice view of the harbor (be sure to request in advance). The business center had two PCs for customer use (free). Exercise room was adequate; pool small (narrow). Concierge was quite helpful in giving info about tourist sites, subways, etc. And there was an endless supply of mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups at the check-in counters.
