“Good Hotel, close to the airport”
Reviewed May 4, 2014 via mobile

We recently stayed here and the hotel was a nice venue. The Beds were fairly comfy and the bathrooms were nice and roomy. The internet service was very spotty, at times. The hotel bar staff was ok, not tremendously friendly, but the hotel staff was very nice and wanted to really make our stay enjoyable. The property was very clean, and the gym area was very nice as well. It was a very short cab ride from Logan airport. Would stay there again.

Stayed here for a conference. Food was surprisingly good. The room was not as clean as expected, but management took care of that with one phone call. Very responsive.

Walls were quite thin. Could hear all my neighbors.

10 minutes away from Logan Airport.

Overall, this hotel is very much like any other Renaissance. It has a good atmosphere and the service team there is very helpful. The beds are fairly comfortable but the sheets and towels felt/smelled a bit over bleached -- this seems to be a Marriott issue as I have had this experience at their other properties as well.

There is a nice bar that is separate from another resturaunt and bar on the property.

It is within close proximity of the convention center. The area has really built up around there with a choice of resturaunts within walking distance.

We held several meetings here over the course of 2 days. The onsite staff was extremely helpful and good to work with. The banquet food was very good.

The one thing is that the room service was a bit disappointing. We had several people who were staying in the hotel and most everyone said that the room service food was not good.

Concierge floor was good but the prices for the drinks were a bit steep. Also, they had the same type of appetizer item 2 nights in a row. Breakfast was good.

I recommend this if you are looking for decent location to stay during a conference that is being held at the convention center.

Green Features: Hard to be too environmentally friendly with the overuse of the bleach for towels and sheets.

I stayed here for a few days/nights recently and enjoyed the hotel. All the employees were courteous, helpful, professional, & friendly -- including the housekeeping staff which smiled and greeted me when they saw me.

The room was comfortable & clean -- bed was very comfortable. I used the gym, which was nice with modern equipment, and I was very pleased to see that the pool is a LAP pool. Unfortunately, I had not brought my goggles and couldn't take advantage of it, but this is a great benefit.

The lobby is attractive & the bar and restaurant are attractive. Beware, however: we ordered drinks at the bar one night, and it was $14 for a standard margarita!!!!

The main drawback is that it was a bit of a hassle to get to the main sites: Quincy Market, etc. The "T" station is a relatively short walk from the hotel, but getting downtown required switching lines and the total trip took 30 minutes or so, I would guess. There were a few restaurants and bars near the hotel, though, so there were some options but it felt a bit far from everything else. I would stay here again, because the service and facilities were good, but I might also consider finding something closer to all the action for the sake of convenience.

I recently stayed for two nights at this hotel while participating in a music festival, and I was pretty impressed with it. The beds in the hotel are quite comfortable. The lobby is very upscale-looking, but the rooms are what you'd expect from a not-so-costly hotel (though not by any means of low quality). Each room comes with an HD television, and has Wi-Fi. The bathrooms are spacious, but the bathtubs/showers have no handles, forcing guests to watch their steps extra carefully when getting in and out.
Overall, if you've got money to burn during your trip to Boston, this isn't a half-bad place to do so.

Room Tip: Tech addicts beware-the Wi-Fi in the hotel costs extra money to connect to.

We recently stayed here with our kids for a long weekend. It was a very modern and clean hotel. It was even walkable to aquarium/Quincy market section. There are quite a few good restaurants just a few blocks as well. Plus the price was more reasonable than the hotels closest to downtown. We will definitely stay here again.

I rarely wish that I could have stayed longer in a hotel, but the Renaissance Hotel Boston Waterfront is one of those times. The staff is world-class, as is the hotel. I was in town the day of the Boston Marathon, but despite the event's insanity, the hotel was a welcome oasis of calm. The staff is professional, friendly and very helpful. My room was comfortable, quiet and clean and the view of Boston Harbor was astonishing. I could have looked out those windows all day. This is on the top of my list for Boston hotels. I'll stay here again.

Green Features: The hotel includes recycle containers in the rooms.
