This is an excellent restaurant for a really good night out. Its not a swanky frocks joint. Its all atmosphere and looks like a Hopper painting.

We had a table in the window. Super service from a very nice older lady. She knew everything about how the food was cooked and knew her wine as well.

We had a selection; I the grilled scallops and the cod were marvelous. Gluten free is no problem they full understand. The rest of the guests fared as well.

She also made me a gin martini to start with. No measly measure here.

A first class dining experience where the staff are all fully engaged. Fun. But not inexpensive. We paid $320 for 4 pre tip and including some nice wine and aperitifs. Very good value

If you are looking for a nice neighborhood restaurant, where you are treated like family and which serves exceptional food, then Masona Grill is for you! I have been there several times and have tried a lot of different dishes and they are invariably outstanding! The service is friendly and you never feel rushed. In addition to great food they also make excellent cocktails, including a Manhattan made with Southern Comfort which is quite unique and very tasty. I highly enthusiastically recommend this place for any kind of gathering!!

Located near the commuter rail line in West Roxbury, if you weren't looking for this restaurant, you might never find it. And you'd be missing out. Masona Grill delivers consistently excellent dining offerings, a solid wine list, and the best house made red wine sangria I've ever had.

The dinner menu varies seasonally, and everything on it is exceptionally fresh and tasty. They are extremely accommodating of Gluten allergies (especially if you go on an off night), and can make substitutions to suit your food restrictions. The presentation of all food is wonderful, and the portions are generous without being outrageous.

If you are going on a busy night (Friday, Saturday) I highly recommend reservations. We love to go on Wednesday nights, when it's a quieter atmosphere and the kitchen staff are more relaxed. It can be loud on a busy night, which can make conversation challenging. This isn't a great spot for little ones -- teens and up would be comfortable.

The food was outstanding. The atmosphere very laid back. A bit expensive - but worth it. Would recommend this to everyone.

We just had a lovely meal - exquisitely spiced and presented food with friendly service. The seared scallops with squash ravioli, green beans, asparagus, carrots and mushrooms was an amazing and complete meal - a tasty melange. The 5 spice duck with duck confit dumplings had a wonderful balance. The braise pork appetizer provided individual servings of flavorful goodness that were easy to share. And the tres leches dessert is unique and rich - a great dessert to share and enjoy with coffee. Service was fantastic - helpful, present but not intrusive. Take them up on recommendations and nightly specials. And the setting is very relaxed - there was a good vibe. We recommend it highly.
