This is a great all-around property. It is 10-minutes from Logan (via taxi or water shuttle), and is right off the Mass Pike if traveling by car. Parking is easy, and you can walk to many areas for food, entertainment, etc. While the hotel was quite busy during my stay, it never felt crowded, and the rooms were very quite. The rooms themselves are very modern, but not over-the-top. The restaurants on-site are all quite good, and the service all around is excellent.

This is definitely an excellent high-end business hotel. Not super ultra luxury, but still in the next-to-top level of quality. And certainly worth the cost and a good value.

All of the staff are top-notch. That was what impressed me the most. The features and amenities and the layout of the building are also comfortable, and complete.

I enjoyed sipping gourmet Rum while eating sweet potato fries at the lobby bar. And the sushi restaurant was quite good.

I was also very impressed that they have replaced most if not all their lights with LED fixtures. Very long-view of them.

The Hotel's neighborhood is in the last stages of a transition. You've got the financial district on one side with some bars and restaurants and a few handy shops like Starbucks, a tailor. and a Radio Shack. But this is the financial district - not exactly an area with character and personality. On the other side is the "new" (Old) seaport district and the BCEC area which has undergone a huge transition recently, but also doesn't really have much character. If you're a tourist and this is your first visit to Boston - definitely consider this carefully. If you know Boston, and don't mind being in an unusual (but certainly very safe) neighborhood - or if you're visiting or working in the area - you can't go wrong with this hotel.

I have two negatives:

The water pressure in the shower is horrible. It's no fun when it takes longer just to rinse off the soap.

My other qualm, is that depending on where your room is, there is a fire station across the street (on the Atlantic Ave side) and last night I was awoken several times by the sound of ambulances heading off to help someone.

Room Tip: Watch out for the noise from the fire station across the street.

The purpose of my trip was business mixed with pleasure. This hotel is a solid choice for those that require a central location for work and then to the downtown core. I had a corner suite looking out on to the street with windows all around. Supplied with great essentials, great inlaid tub, separate stand up shower and massive bathroom! The bed is comfortable, a working area and a swivel tv. The best part of this hotel is the friendly service. I loved the bellman!! He was amazing and provided excellent recommendations for breakfast and was just a great personality! Truly a great city to visit. No more than 10 minutes from Logan Airport. The shopping district was a quick cab ride nothing was more than $10.

The only complaint was from my colleagues is no free WIFI. I would have thought that a hotel of this stature would have it.

Great hotel, with friendly staff and nicely decorated and designed modern rooms. Location is ideal and its easy to get to the financial district, subways and the tourist attractions in Boston. Will stay there again if I get the opportunity.

Outstanding hotel and service. The staff is engaging. Check out the RumBa Bar and Miel Brasserie Provencale....delicious! Can't wait to come back and go to Spa InterContinental. BTW is 15 minutes from Logan Airport.

The InterContinental Boston is a solid choice among Boston's 5-Star hotels. A rather new hotel in a good location, very nice and spacious rooms, professional and friendly service.

Downside: no free Internet, which was even down for the better part of the evening. Positive: being aware of the problem, they took it off the bill without having to ask.

The bottom line: just what you expect from your today's InterContinental Hotel.

I can't rave enough about this property. In fact, I ended up back there three weeks after my first stay having not been in Boston in years.

Check in was smooth, everything was there and, again with my Ambassador benefits was upgraded to a fantastic suite overlooking the Boston Tea Party. Room had floor to ceiling windows and a great view.

Room was well equipped for business travellers with the sockets on the desk and good internet access.

Every so comfortable bed and a bathroom to die for (although the first time round the bathroom was better designed, second visit the bedroom was better designed) with a rain shower, double sink and a headboard that lit up. Very cool.

The gym was also excellent with a very large selection of equipment.

This hotel has a Club lounge and, again, I can't rave enough about it. Fantastic staff and a great selection of food both in the morning for breakfast and for dinner. Wine selection was good to and included in the Club room price so great value too.

Ate at the hotel a few times and food is good along with the service.

Hotel is pretty much downtown and easy access to the airport. Lots of great places to eat within easy walking distance - even in the cold of a Boston winter!

This is a great property and well worth every penny.
