Time your visit to just before sunset so you can view Boston 360 degrees in daylight. Then stay for a great sunset view and Boston lite up. Very nice activity. Well worth the price.

50th Floor of Prudential building.
Go to the shops at Prudential Center south of Boston Common and go down the escalator under the Prudential Tower sign and then up in the lift. This is the edge of the parking lot and car hire but do not be put off you are in the right place.
Wonderfull 360degree views from up here. Worth the trip. Get a free audio guide to provide historical info.
This is a must for all visitors of Boston.

Check that it is going to be fully open when you visit. We rang to check it would be open on the morning we were going to go and were told it was open til 9pm.
When we arrived we were told that part of the Skywalk would be closing to the public soon but still charged the full amount.
Approximately half of the building was closed using fold across doors. Several people started coming to set up.

The building has obviously been designed to be used for events, filming locations etc.
Bare this in mind when you visit.

Be aware bathrooms are by the lifts before paying. I'm not sure if you can re-enter if you only want the bathroom.

This is a great place to go get a full 360 degree view of my favorite city and relax. It's best if you go on a nice sunny day, but even on a cloudy one it's worth it. There are audio guides and writing on the wall that talk about Boston's history, and there are those giant binoculars you can look through. They say they need money inserted but when I last went, they worked with none in it!

Take your time. Spend at least 45 minutes and soak it all in. Take lots of pictures. Even once you've walked all the way around and 'seen it all', do it again. Use the binoculars. Look at the boats in the Charles or see the Red Sox warm up at Fenway 2 hours before the game.

Totally worth it.

This is a photographer’s stop if in Boston. Do not miss out on some breath taking views. Try and be aware of people’s greasy smears on the windows and or reflections from the glass. Otherwise your time in the skywalk will be well worth it :-)
