Went with a group of 4 for the tour but unfortunately found out it was under construction and weren't able to get the full tour. Went straight to drinking beer. The workers were informational about the beer and had a few jokes. There's a trolley that takes you to a bar that has Sam Adams beer and you can get a free pint glass! Great place to go

We really enjoyed this tour. The guide was very informative and had a great sense of humor. The beer at the end of the tour was plentiful and cold. I will probably do this tour every time I go to Boston. Unbelievably, the tour is free. They simply recommend a two dollar donation, ALL of which goes to charity. Excellent PR. Make sure to consider public transportation, as parking around the brewery is scarce.

After the tour, there is a free shuttle to Doyle's Cafe. We went, had to wait a while to place orders. However, food did come out quickly and was delicious. Lobster roll salad was great, as we're the sweet potato fries. Plus, you get a free Sam Adams glass with each beer and tour ticket.

I made some great friends during this tasting. You can get a free Sam Adams glass by going to Doyle's after (there is a party trolley that takes you there). Amusing tour guides and obviously great beer! Get there early, no lie it stacks up quickly but tours are every 20 minutes.

This was a last minute stop for us on a recent trip through New England. We have recommended it to family in the Boston area and would definitely go back ourselves. Our guide was very informative and also entertaining. The admission is free but they do ask for a voluntary donation for a charity.

Entertaining tour lasting less than an hour. We arrived on a Wednesday morning at 11:30 am and had no wait. Don't forget a proper US or Canadian ID, or a passport if you're from elsewhere (specified on their website http://www.samueladams.com/brewery-and-craft/our-brewery). Our tour guide was very funny and informative. Not a high-brow place but worth the trip.
