“Nice hotel, location not that great, poor restaurants”
Reviewed February 5, 2014

The service at the Westin Boston Waterfront was great. From check-in to check-out the staff were helpful, friendly, and attentive. The room was clean and well-appointed, with plenty of storage.
I stayed here because I was attending conference hosted at the hotel. The conference organizers had arranged for free wi-fi and the wi-fi worked great--good connection, plenty of bandwidth--everywhere in the hotel. If the organizers hadn't arranged that, the price was scandalous.
The hotel was an easy walk from the transit station. However, in early winter the neighborhood seemed a bit desolate and I didn't feel confident walking out for dinner after dark alone. And the pub in the hotel, while it had good service, had a crummy menu and lousy food.
The Starbucks in the lobby was handy for grabbing a quick coffee and inexpensive b'fast.

Room Tip: In December 2013 there was a large construction site on one side of the hotel. The sound of vehicles...

My wife and I are frequent guests at the Liberty Hotel in Boston mostly due to our interactions with Calvin Cherry who was their guest services manager and always ensured we had an incredible and thoughtful experience at the property. We noticed our stay quality had started to diminish after Calvin was no longer associated with the property about nine months ago and have looked at other options for some of our stays. We happened to run into him as we where checking out of the Westin Boston Waterfront on Saturday and instantly new that we would be shifting the majority of our business and leisure stays to this property versus the Liberty now that he is the guest services manager there. He always ensures we are treated as VIP's and makes sure we have a great stay even though we may not be the biggest customer in his portfolio. I highly suggest staying at this property, especially if you are able to work with him as part your stay.

We stayed in September and had a great room. Comfortable, clean and well equipped. Wifi was free but not too easy to access as it looked as if you would have to pay for use. Unfortunately, we had to complain about the attitude of some of the baggage handlers. The location is not central but we enjoy walking so it was not a problem. However, overall, it was a good experience.

This level of a hotel should offer complimentary wifi. It does not. It is beyond irritating to have to pay $20/day for crappy hotel wifi. It will not cost them much to offer it. I frequent Boston and will not stay there (or anywhere else) again unless it is free. Get with 2014 Westin!

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. Our internet pricing is based on the pricing that our competitors offer and if you stay at other 4 star hotels in the Boston area, you will be charged similarly for guest room Wi-Fi. We do however, offer complimentary Wi-Fi in the lobby of the hotel.

For me, if I can't sleep, i'm getting rid of it. NOT SO for this Westin. Awesome night sleep! The bed was really comfortable, quiet, good service, good location. I was highly stressed when i arrived but slept like a baby. Great start to a great vacation.

Now, about that man....WHAT are we going to do about his snoring?

Room Tip: Expect traffic. Boston Logan is always difficult to navigate to and from. Parking is expensive at th...

I chose this location during a recent business trip due to its proximity to a client. While I was not expecting it to be so close to the Convention Center, you don't feel "squeezed" - they have done a nice job with the layout of the area, and the hotel, while busy, did not feel overwhelming. The rooms are well-appointed, and I certainly experienced the "Westin" feel that all of their better locations possess.

We spent the weekend at the Westin Boston Watefront and celebrated a 50th birthday. The Guest Services Manager, Calvin Cherry went above and beyond to make my birthday extra special. Calvin had Champagne and Fruit waiting for us in the room and he upgraded us to a city view room on a top floor. He also arranged a full itinerary for us for a night out on the town. It is people like Calvin that will keep me coming back to the Boston Waterfront Westin time and time again.

Well done Westin and you need to hire more GSM's like Calvin Cherry!

Room Tip: City View Room is fantastic.
