Overall our stay was good, with a few things that stood out. First, we really appreciated the two complimentary bottle waters that were in our room for SPG members. It was replenished every day and that was a great touch. The check in staff was very friendly and made us feel welcomed.

What was disappointing about this hotel was 1) the business center (or lack of), 2) the location and 3) the doorman. We needed to print out a few items and when we asked where the business center was located, we were directed to the Fed Ex store, located in the hotel. To print out items, we were charged $1.50 per page. Wow, really? I thought this was the Westin, not some 3 star motel that will nickel and dime you at every turn.

The location is great if all you’re planning to do is attend your convention, but if you plan to explore Boston, be prepared to walk a bit (10-15min) before you reach any type of public transit. Also it’s pretty deserted at night. All the restaurants nearby are closed and you’ll need to take a taxi if you want to go anywhere decent for dinner.

Lastly, when we were ready to check out we asked the doorman to hail us a cab since none were readily available. He seemed irritated to do so and said it’s too difficult to get a cab now and that we should take this car service instead. Not wanting to miss our flight and given how completely unhelpful the doorman was, we reluctantly went with the car service and was of course charged an exorbitant amount for the ride. It seemed like the doorman knew the driver of the car service and was probably get’s some sort of compensation for sending business his way. We were very disappointed that the Westin allows this type of behavior.

Very good location close to the Seaport conference center. its a 5 min walk, which is lovely (if the weather is good). the hotel seems new, everything is in good shape with a lovely reception sitting area with free wifi. Breakfast was great, but there is also a Starbucks inside the lobby..
Got a room with a poor view, but asked for a change, got the top floor 16 with seaport view, that was very nice. I liked very much their guided outdoor morning run, although I didn't get a chance to try it, maybe next time.
I usually buy on amazon my stuff before I arrive, and have it delivered to the hotel, I was surprised to find they transfer it to the business center who charges per box!!!! Disappointed by that, and that its not clear in advance.. but the reception manager sorted it out for me this time..

Room Tip: Ask for the top floors with Seaport view.

Thank you for posting your recent review. I was happy to read that you enjoyed your stay and I apologize for any confusion about the handling fee charged by the business center. I hope you will consider staying with us again.

Rooms looked like they were motel rooms with extremely over-priced internet service; it's 2012 this should be a given. Of course there was free internet in the lobby, but attendants would give you dirty looks if you sat at a table too long while working. The amenities were straight out of a 70's motel and the views were non-existent. I have yet to receive a call back from the concierge for a message left 4 days ago. The set up for a conference left people re-arranging the seating so the speakers could be seen. The highlight was the Starbucks and the individuals working in the restaurants. They were friendly and very courteous. I want to extend a special thanks to Marian Dobrev, a server in Sauciety...he was fantastic and extremely helpful. Overall...probably won't be back.

More suited to business travellers than to tourists. Tour buses did come to hotel but finished around 6pm so a taxi or subway ride needed after that to get from town centre. Starbucks on ground floor useful.

In room internet was prohibitively expensive. Rooms were small and nothing special at all. Decent views depending on room. Restaurant was good if expensive. Great lobby, bad rooms. Better hotels for cheaper prices available.
